Concerning.

I'd rather know where he was at all times.

We all know Barton and Evans are both c*nts, but it seems one of them had to come out on top, and at the moment, it looks like Evans, as the chairman is apparently a big fan, and has backed him against Barton. Plus of course, the team is underachieving based on pre-season expectations.

The funny thing is, Preston have apparently been sniffing round Evans. Can you imagine him and Ben in the same team? Each with a completely different footballing ethos.

What happened with the court case? More bad publicity coming his way soon perhaps?

Put back to June this year looking at the BBC article.

Fleetwood are on their way into free fall, the chairman’s money can only last for so long, I bet their wage bill is higher than ours and their average attendance is about half ours, last season not this before anyone picks up on it.

No tears shed here for that bit of news.

You're right. Their average attendance last season was about half of ours, and their wage bill will definitely be higher than ours, because they've some big reputation players in there.

That brings back memories I use to play my football at the back of the Scrubs and that was where we had our home pitch back in my 20's There must have been 20 pitches on that site. I once scored 4 goals on that pitch in one game and then dropped two games later, that's football.

Not just Barton, either. I think 3 have gone and they have appointed youth team coach, as temporary replacement I assume.

I don’t have any time for Joey Barton as a football player or manager, but I think that he has done a reasonable job in getting Fleetwood to where they are now which is a decent, established League One team.    I think that there is more to the sacking than football issues and perhaps there is more to be revealed...... but I think that if the Fleetwood owner thinks that he can take the club to the next level and become an established Championship Club, I think he is mistaken.

He may have lots of money at his disposal, but like John Ryan with Rovers there is a limit to how much you want to sink into a football club.   At best, clubs like Fleetwood, Wycombe, Rotherham, Barnsley (and Rovers) can just hope for the odd season at Championship level and a return to their rightful position as established League One teams.

It may sound harsh, but in most instances, it’s a case of the infrastructure and fan base of a club will ultimately dictate it’s place on the league ladder.... and Fleetwood for my money are significantly over achieving already.

Danny Andrew, Paul Coutts, Mark Duffy, Ched Evans and Paddy Madden will all be on a sizeable wedge for a small League One club - they do some creative accounting with paying exorbitant rent for office space at the Highbury ground - but how the hell can any club playing in a 6000 capacity ground pay the wages of these players is beyond me - I said at least two years ago they’d be potentially another Bury - I predict administration looming for them

Bit harsh to include Barnsley in that list as they have spent 11 of the last 15 years in the Championship and over 70 seasons in total at that level!

Yep, Ched was sacked last week.

Barton told the players off for wearing gloves and tights during training. So Ched brought in photos of Barton and the coaching staff wearing the exact same things in their playing days.

That's how it all kicked off

Yep, he also told them to never be grabbed by the throat by an opposing defender
