Theres the potential for all the South Yorkshire clubs to be in the same league next season, I wonder if that has ever happened before?
-
Happened in 1951/52.

South Yorkshire didn't exist In 1951/2

Very good!

Would make for some cracking derbies, but if supporters aren’t back in the ground that would tinge it massively.
As good as yesterday was, imagine how much better it had been if we’d been there to cheer the team on and celebrate!

Can't see it happening personally , hard to see both Rotherham and Wednesday surviving although one of the two could .
Wycombe are probably as good as down and Derby and Forest may just have enough to stay up .
It's then a case of seeing who Rotherham and Wednesday can finish above , Birmingham , QPR and Coventry come in to that conversation but going on what I've seen this season they should still have enough to stay up .
Rotherham in my opinion have to beat Derby on Tuesday night at the NYS , if they lose it could be a massive psychological blow and one they'll find difficult to come back from .
Hand on heart I think Rotherham and Wednesday will both go down with Rovers and Sheffield United replacing them .

Wednesday might get another points deduction as it's rumoured they have failed to pay the players again.

Don't bet on it Baz , protected species these so called big championship clubs , they managed to get the 12 point deduction halved on appeal .

I know what you mean, but I think it could be an automatic deduction if confirmed.

Maybe not as bad as first rumoured.

Didn't we have a season in the Championship when only Rotherham were missing?

Was that when John Ryan claimed that (at the time) us and the Tykes were bigger than both Sheffield clubs.?

I think he actually said there was a shift in power.

Could have been - can’t remember the exact words..

Yes I think that exactly what he said.
It would be brilliant if all 5 clubs were in the same division.
I just can’t see it happening though. There seems first of all to be a jinx on Rovers, Barnsley & Rotherham all being in the same division. 1974/75 I think was the last time, something i have posted a couple of times previously.

Which he was right as Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United ended up in League One while us and Barnsley were in the Championship. It wasn't a long shift but it did happen.
