Title: Bolton W
Post by: Draytonian III on February 01, 2021, 08:29:36 pm
For a club that was skint and pleading poverty a year ago they seem to be very busy in this transfer window, they’ve just taken Marcus Maddison on loan from Charlton, now he’s bad news talk about big fish little pond. A total show pony

He’s a bloody infuriating player squealing like a baby clutching his ankle rolling round in agony - pathetic

There won't be much left of that £40m loan left (well I think £26m of that was to pay off debts}

What, they’ve loaned a player from themselves?

Really funny this as at the end of last season he was the best thing since sliced bread and according to their fans he asked to join them when hearing about the interest even if they were destined to be relegated. How wrong could they be. He was just shite and we allowed him to leave haha.

I don’t think he was shite at all for us, in fact I found it quite bizarre that we let him leave in the manner that we did.

Pretty remarkable how Maddisons career has nosedived. Not too long ago he was looking at a £5m+ move away from Posh, now he's loaned out to a bottom-half league 2 team.

Never rated Crawford whilst with us - one ‘flash in the pan’ goal and that just about sums up his time with us. Far too lightweight.

As for Maddison - they were made for one another!

Maddoson is the perfect case which illustrates what Darren Moore always says about potential targets  .It is not just about abilities but also about character .

Crawford was a good player for us, but Moore didn’t fancy him, and who would question his judgment.
Crawford had some great games for us

Maddison is an enigma.  Can score and create some wonderful goals but the rest of the time he is a dogshite excuse for a pro footballer.

I agree, bit inconsistent but was unplayable some weeks, scored some crackers too. However I don't think we've missed him much, with hindsight he probably didn't fit Moore's plan and I can see why we let him go.
