Reports circulating locally are saying, very clearly, that Swindon Town are "on the brink of bankruptcy", The Chairman, Lee Power, is quoted as saying exactly that. Apparently the sale of Jayiesimi to Charlton the other day gives them to the end of February....
Given what has been said in recent months about the financial condition of league clubs and the continuance of lockdown into March and beyond, this could be the beginning of a football revolution.
We are, undoubtedly, blessed.

Wasn’t also said no league club would be allowed to fail financially and money’s would be made available so that would not happen. So we wait and see if the EFL and PFA help out if required.
-
Maybe Swindon are trying to up the pressure on the EFL and the PFA then? Dangerous game that if they are.

Wasn’t Lee Power involved at Cambridge Utd ? I seem to remember he wasn’t very popular with the supporters there, he also owns Waterford where Paul Keegan played for a while

Waterford appointed John Sheridan as manager last year. He lasted only 8 games before moving on to Wigan A. He is now...but only just...manager of Swindon Town.

We wouldn’t be blessed if they do go bust.
Six points go missing.

Of the teams in the top half, only Oxford, Hull and Sunderland would "benefit" as they all lost a game against them.
Deeply troubling for Swindon fans. The EFL, FA and PFA all need to mobilise. There is also the loan from Prem Clubs available at a push.

I don’t think Portsmouth have even played them.

Fan response, 'we know the EFL money is more than what he said and we know there is further EFL money for clubs in financial hardship'
