I admire your loyalty to your man but you really need to watch the first half.

You would have to say Copps in my opinion. Didnt get him in the right areas but was neat and tidy in what he did and can only think he was brought off to save him for Saturday. Thought Simoes was a scapegoat for Butts tonight. I dont rate him but was one of our better players.

Ill defend Halliday for the reason that he gives everything for the team. Not matter what score it is he plays like its 0-0 and continues to drive us forward and sprints back. His quality with or without the ball is irrlevant right now. You cant be a weak link in a whole team thats failing to fo the basics.

But he allowed their left wide player past him time after time first half he only improved when Oxford took him off.

He might give everything for the team but he isn't good enough. He cannot defend. It's simple.

Are people voting for Jones and Halliday taking the piss?

Halliday had his pants pulled down at every opportunity in the first half.

People complained about Balcombe’s distribution. Did any one see the shocker Jones had with the ball at his feet tonight?

Again, with that state of the squad as it is he is the least of our problems. Can we replace him with better yes i believe so and i hope we do because he does cost us. But right now he is the only real right back we have and his commitment cant be questioned and id prefer to turn my criticism to wide players inability to cross a ball beyond their 1st man or Richards half hearted performances or Joe Wright putting us under pressure every time he gets the ball. The list goes on rather than singling out one player who runs his blood to water Saturday/ Tuesday.

We were nearly caught out several times messing about in our own goal area.Oxford soon realised this.

Thought greaves was the only one in the first half who looked up for it and was by far our best player until coming off which is why he gets my vote.
Jones had a couple of dodgy moments on the ball today but made some very good saves and ppl have to remember it was his 5th league game so he will only get better with experience.
Felt sorry for halliday in the first half because again he was in a 2v1 battle a lot of the time because he had no help from simoes and when allowed to get forward in the second half he looked dangerous.
Horton and Williams both looked decent when they came on as did Lokilo, who tracked back much more than simoes to help halliday when needed.

He had zero support from his team mates against a player who we knew could cause us problems. After the first time he got beat AB should have made sure we doubled up on him as soon as he got the ball.

Greaves looked lost in my opinion
he was the only one who got stuck in and tried to get us going forward. Everyone else just gave the ball away too many times and looked like they weren’t bothered.

Halliday was decent 2nd half and looked dangerous going forward and also like others said got skinned in the 1st half but  like other times has no cover wot do so,Horton also looked good when he came on

He spooned one attempted first time pass in the first half but other than that didn't put a foot wrong imo. Got my vote.

The difference in opinions about several of the players performances is quite marked isn’t it.

Halliday gets little or no help when defending. So I do feel some of the criticism he gets is not fully justified.
He is encouraged to get forward at every opportunity but gets left stranded with no one covering his position. This is a tactical problem surely.
Halliday is not Superman, he can’t be in two places at the same time.

But faced with a one on one situation he almost always gets beat.

I'm a big fan of Halliday and have defended him to the hilt from unfair criticism in the past.

But he was slaughtered in that first half and I was cringing every time their left winger took Halliday on.

You didn't see the first half Campsall so you're not in a position to judge.

Halliday also lost his player at the back post with a header for one of their goals.

If Halliday got the support from the rest of the team, half as much as he gives them, there would be no reason to criticise him.

If you read my post I said my vote was based on the 2nd half.  I did not see the 1st half as i said.
There are 9 other people who voted for Halliday. Are they not allowed an opinion either on MOM.
They all probably had the misfortune to see both halves.
