Here you go lads thread so you can discuss how much you don't care about the Euros and won't be watching. Really want to know what you'll be doing instead of watching love to hear about that
Obviously it's ok not to be interested just making sure there's a place for it to be discussed without cluttering threads about the Euros.
Have fun

I don’t watch elite football anymore weather it’s England or the premier league , VAR and the various rule changers plus money at the top has ruined football for me , so I will probably do anything other than watch the euros
-
I watched the first 22 mins of what appeared to be a U23s game only to find it was the opener for the Euros, quite frankly I didn’t know any names, they all looked so young and the product being served up was less than entertaining no matter how much the commentary team tried to inject some passion….
I will watch around 20 minutes of each game and if they entertain then I’ll stick around, however my biggest fear is that “ just like the old subuteo” ….all the teams are going to look the same, play the same, and serve up a snack… not a feast…
It was my wife ( who incidentally hates football) who pointed out that this tournament should have been played last year…..oops , my bad!
I have a wonderful hifi system, and plenty of vinyl to fall back on should these Euro-clone ships prove to be borrriiiiinnnnnngggggggggg as fekc…..

Same here, I have no interest in cheating players. I will be going fishing and gardening more often.
-
I wii probably watch the highlights programme. As long as the “pundits” aren’t spouting drivel for too long, in which case I will hit the mute button. I can’t stand Lineker - overpaid pretentious little prat.

If you turned a game on which had Chiellini playing and you thought they all looked so young and that it was an under 23 game
You need help

Will watch some games. But today I have watched Rugby. Last night, Rugby and Speedway.
-
I’ll start watching if England should progress anywhere. I used to love Internationals but recent years have completely turned me off it which is odd because I am passionately patriotic and proud to be English. But the national team just bores me. It’s probably because I have no interest in the Premier League, Super League, Gravy Train or whatever else those overpaid greedbags want to call it.
But yeah, if there’s a sniff of glory, I’ll be there to hunt my share.
-
I'm currently watching endurance motorcycle racing on Eurosport but I'll dip in and out of the Euro's just not England games, I couldn't care less.
I'm the person who got 2 tickets in the general ticket auction/lottery for what turned out to be The England v Wales match of the last Euro's in France so I did what any self respecting football fan would do and sold em for as much as I could get for em.
-
I have been for a bike ride to Stonehenge and back, mostly off-road about 60 miles.
I am now listening to the lp's I bought for RSD this morning and reading a book on the develpoment of the British Army. Loads of them out on Salisbury Plain today, waving their machine-guns about and making things go bang. Very exciting it was.
-
A bike ride in the forest far from the madding crowd and artificial rituals of football at that level.
-
I love football. Im English. I will watch it all. Yeah elite football, too much money, spolit footballers, boring Southgate blah blah blah! Heard it all.
Come on England

Good for you - so go post on the thread supporting the Euros and leave the bah humbug about internationals on this thread to those Victor Meldrew's amongst us! Don't go spoiling this thread with your positivity! LOL!

Ya’r on the wrong thread cocker ……this is the “ not bothered” one!
-
I’ll watch whatever games whenever I can, I’d like England to do well, but not that bothered as I’m a Northern Ireland supporter. I’ve had a few bets on the tournament and more than likely will have a few more which will increase my interest
-
So much other Sport going on today. Big play off match in the National league. Rugby league matches. And the Saracens 1st leg to get back in the premiership. Speedway too. no Euros for me today.
-
Usual pre match hype, taking the knee with obligatory boos, disappointing performance against good opposition. Patronising pundits who will find all of the cheesy one liners that get trotted out every time England play. The bloody annoying supporters band playing the same old shit in the background. A predictable England defeat.
It’s easy to why some don’t care.
-
Dons wining 22-0
-
I gave the match a go today. But to me it’s just unwatchable shite. I won’t be bothering again. Slept through some of it.
-
I thought this thread was about people not bothered about the euros but it’s full of people moaning about it.
Crackers

When ya not bothered about something, and you know that loads of sheep are going to be expounding expert views on another Euro lovers site ,
it’s good to come here and tell everyone what you would and indeed are preferring to do…..
all the non euro gushers are actually finding better things ( our opinion only) to do , and I’m sure there are some wives and girlfriends who are very happy that there fellas are not glued to the tv for the next month watching plastic millionaires chasing the next Gillette advert and pointless box ticking MBE’s !
I’ve been on the other site and there doesn’t seem to be much to talk about, apart from those predicting that Mings is not very good,….. which seems bizarre!
Yes I did watch the game , mainly because I was in the hot tub until the early hours and hammered the G&Ts …….
-
Why would someone who's not bothered about people not being bothered about England at the Euros have to give his opinion on how people demonstrate their lack of bother?
-
Cos' he's a plank! Lol
Me? I haven't supported England since 1999. The f**king FA wouldn't support my team deepite the explicit requirements of their Charter. So why the hell should I support theirs? I'll be damned if I do. So instead I'm insulating my garage, fitting a couple of heaters and a dehumidifier so I can rest easy that the crown jewels are safe, warm and dry during the long, cold, damp winter nights!

Out in the fresh air gardening. trying to get my lawn sorted and planting a few shrubs.
Gareth Mouthgate and his team of knee benders are of no interest to me.
-
I’m not sure which thread to post in! I’d like to see England do well, but I won’t lose any sleep if we don’t! I watched bits & pieces of the game yesterday with a cursory interest akin to me watching a game like Ipswich v Bristol City. From what I did see though, England looked pretty good. I think we’ll be hard to beat.
My love affair with England disappeared many, many years ago. I went to the ‘82 World Cup in Spain (some stories to tell about that trip), I used to go to the Home Internationals at Wembley in the 80’s but gradually got bored with it.
I suspect that I changed rather than the football.
-
Gareth Mouthgate and his team of knee benders are of no interest to me.
I bet they're gutted to have lost your support

This is a marvellous, thoughtful piece. https://amp.theguardian.com/football/blog/2021/jun/12/euro-2020-gareth-southgate-england-brexit-racism?__twitter_impression=true

"Knee benders" as an insult, okay.

You’re on the wrong thread cocker, this is for those that don’t like the Euro offerings, so of course some will say why they aren’t bothered, but if you read the post correctly you might notice he mentioned doing some garden maintenance….
So trot on and enjoy the euros…..lol
-
"Knee benders" as an insult, okay.
You wondered onto the wrong thread because the other ones a bit too samey!

I'm not. I'm on here for the 'I don't care about England' bit of the title.

I cannot believe I just witnessed a commanding Scotland performance, more desire and energy, and wanting to affect the game by sheer determination…..
Not sure why that JAMES guy got the nod, added absolutely NOTHING to anything,
I hope we lose to the cheques…..lol
-
As an Englishman, why would you want us to lose.

Firstly …I have absolutely no affinity with a bunch of millionaires with no passion or pride
Secondly…I applaud and appreciate effort…but deplore lazy negativity
Scotland showed all the traits I admire …..

There ya go again, not quite disagreeing, but deflecting away from adding an opinion….
If anything I wrote is incorrect please feel free to add an explanation,…however as this was merely an opinion ….I’m sure you will agree that I am entitled to it!
Ya trolling like an Ass again…..
-
Playing and watching golf, altho I am watching the games until they get boring (imo) - I haven't managed to watch any in full bar the portugal/Germany game.

What does how much money they have, got to do with anything?
How do you know they’ve got no passion or pride, it’s just absolute nonsense and typical sound bites that people like you trot out everytime England dont play well.
Scotland showed the traits that all sides show when they know they’re playing against a side much better than them
-
Dickos.
What traits are those? Outplaying the other side's midfield? I never knew it was that easy!
-
Working hard, getting in the oppositions faces, giving us very little time on the ball.
Scotland didn’t outplay our midfield.
-

But that's how you play football. No team can outplay the other without doing those things. Doesn't matter the level of the opposition both team should be looking to do that as a minimum.
Yes the game probably meant more for Scotland which gives it an extra element but can't deny they outplayed us in most areas and if they had a striker we'd probably have lost.
-
I would ignore Dickos he was telling us how good a manager Dickov was on the day he was sacked
-
That’s why In the fa cup you get many giant killings. Because the lesser side ups their game, it’s nothing new.
But Scotland didn’t outplay us, a side that has 40% possession can’t have outplayed the side with 60% possession.
-
I would ignore Dickos he was telling us how good a manager Dickov was on the day he was sacked
Ha ha ha
You can remember what I said on a specific day almost 6 years ago?
Amazing
-
Possession means nothing. We spent most of last season dominating possession but probably 70 per cent was in our own half. Passes in the opposition half is what hurts them. I've not heard anyone say anything but Scotland won the midfield battle. Our main tactic seems to be to bore the opposition into submission.
-
All about opinions but there’s no way in my opinion that Scotland dominated the midfield.
It was a very even game, which shows how poor we were.
Even clarke said a draw was a fair result the only ones saying Scotland were by far the better side are the ones who are dying for a performance like this so they can complain about it
-
I have to agree with Dickos, Scotland did not outplay England at all. If they did, they would have won based on the England display and approach. They probably showed more desire and battle but it was an even game.
Just because we didn't win or blow them away, some England fans want to act like the team was dreadful. They weren't, just not fluid or quick and not good enough on the night to turn a draw into a win.
-
Agreed RA.
I suppose Italy are only just a wee bit better than Wales because it was only 1-0.

To be fair Italy had changed 8 of their players. It’s essentially their reserve team that have beaten Wales 1-0.

Agreed but they were still way too good for Wales.

well done WALES they get another "gigg" in
Copenhagen Amsterdam but "the jury is out " "on their chances of winning"

Are Spain boring?
They don’t play football …..they pass through, around, back, forward, sideways …and repeat!…..games featuring Spain are only entertaining when the opposition have the ball….
I don’t like this Spanish football one bit….I’m trying to eat a chocolate biscuit with my cuppa tea and everytime I look up from my iPad I see Spain with the ball and they are just passing it sideways, forward, back, around and through….
I’m gonna go sort the tracking weight on my Nagaoka cartridge….
-
Not sure you can call a side that has scored 10 goals in their last 2 games boring
-
Football fan? ENGLAND fan go away idiot how dare u post something like this your not a fan go away
-
U be there smiling u idiot when England win what a stupid post can’t believe a football fan would post this against his country
-
Not sure you can call a side that has scored 10 goals in their last 2 games boring
When you say “ not sure” does that mean I can’t have an opinion that differs from yours?
I referred to the style of football….the constant passing is fatiguing to watch….I didn’t say they can’t score goals!
-
U be there smiling u idiot when England win what a stupid post can’t believe a football fan would post this against his country
Your on the wrong post kid…..and what gives you the right to question someone’s right to loyalty? ….football isn’t the country, it’s a game of football, that’s all!!
-
Still don’t watch , VAR is rubbish, I put notifications on my phone for England game
-
Not bothered about International football anymore.

Bit random that Dickos?
Is that a rhetorical statement or one aimed at Wheatley for showing an opinion against wanting to watch the Euro’s ?
A fare few Football Club supporters prefer the week in week out battles and trials of hometown football, that’s why they support their local team…..however Supporting England doesn’t necessarily bring out the same passion….

Not really,
Just pointing out that of course there’s more important things than a sporting event.
It’s not really a reason to not be bothered about it,
The scenes and passion after an England win in a major tournament is only ever recreated at club level in maybe play off finals,

That’s subjective ……horses for courses and all that, passion comes from within!
-
From my experience obviously,
I was at Wembley on Tuesday and I’ve not witnessed passion and excitement like that probably since when we beat Leeds.
-
I was sound asleep for all the games so far. I will be for the next one. And for the final should they get there. I have absolutely no interest in football what so ever. Except for some bizarre reason seeing how Donny get on. Hell and I am not even from Donny, I am Wakefield born.
-
There’s always more important things going on than most stuff but it baffles me that football fans don’t enjoy watching international tournaments. The knockout stages or the WC and the Euros is the best football you can watch.

That is of course your opinion,
probably because you like watching all kinds of football, but there are some of us who have no affinity with any kind of football outside of watching Donny!
We are DRFC supporters and that gives us the requisite buzz!
