Two BMX riders win gold and silver having had to beg and borrow money to fund their dreams.
The privileged British rowers get £24.6 million to fund one bronze between the lot of em.
Nothing to do with rowing being an upper class elitist sport then?

I don't see why any of them should get any money. Those of them lucky enough to win a medal go on to the easy life on the bbc.

TBF it was two medals, one silver and one bronze and Team GB was the leading rowing nation at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016, claiming six, nine and five medals respectively at those Games. I think funding is based on success, so rowing may take a hit next time round.

Funding is based on previous success in the sport. Historically we have been very successful at rowing so the funding is high.
