Haven't put an lp on for maybe 10years, I have them catalogued and if I can't get an amount that makes the effort worth it, they'll be given away.
-
Come on lads a full collection of Rolf Harris Australian country music, and famous speeches by Edd Milliband, Jeremy Corbyn and Stabber Starmer. the latter collection however only lasts three minutes including the time taken to change the discs.

Anyone thats has anything on the Stateside Label may be sitting on a few quid
-
I had a shock when I checked the price of a few laps on EBay, i.e. moody blues £75.
-
There is a lot of money in (some) vinyl lp's and singles these days - although it does depend on condition and release.
I have c2.5k albums - most valuable I have is c£300. Most valuable single (early Floyd) c£60.
Though as Sproty has noted what people ask for on ebay is different to what people are going to pay!
Some of the most valuable is stuff from the '90's or pre-2010 when little was produced on vinyl, mostly cd.
-
I have a couple of mates that are collectors Wilts and have thousands, I don't think they have ever sold any though.

I dunno about anyone else, but I'm too worried about Eamonn Holmes 'leehgs' to eat my breakfast!

Hey Sidney, seems we have similar tastes in music as we do in politics
Dory Previn's, Mythical Kings and Iguanas, one of my all time favourite albums.
My rarest, and most unusual, piece of vinyl is Western Flyer, by Hapshash and the Coloured Coat! While my wife has all the Beatles Christmas 'floppies'.
And I've lost count of all the 45's I've got stashed somewhere! No turntable now and no intention of buying one.

I'm an old punk and bought and sold records from 76- 85. As a result, I moved thousands of records with me, every time I moved house and then dedicated a room of each house to store them.
I sold mine off in batches on eBay, all by auctions, all starting at 99p, because at that time a 99p starting price attracted less fees.
I got some major surprises, both good and bad.
My top price was £464 for a single that I paid £30 for in the 80's but the one item that I will never forget and still features in my stress dreams, was a mint copy of X Ray Spex 'Oh Bondage Up Yours' that sold for 99p. That (at the time) was a £30+ disc, every day of the week!
Anyway, I'd recommend Discogs as the best way to sell to collectors, or Ebay if you want to get more viewings.
Condition of discs and covers is vitally important, and the only way to grade them is to look at the covers all over, including spine, and play them and listen to them all!!! If you grade them incorrectly you will get crap feedback and no one will buy from you.
If you can't be arsed to sell them individually, which takes a fair bit of time and will involve you being contacted by idiots, contact a few independent record shops and see what they will give you. It'll be a lot less cash but a lot less hassle.
If you've any questions, just ask.
-
Oh, and before you start selling, you need to invest in professional record mailers, so you can post the discs safely through the mail system. These aren't cheap and you need to factor the cost into your postage charges.

As I said Kato I haven't played them in years, I was going to make copies of it all but never got around to it. I put all my CDs on a NAS drive and use Squeezebox to stream to my music set up. I haven't heard of Hapshash but I'll give them a listen on youtube
