I’m in London for the England game and I happened upon a pub called the Coal Hole. I didn’t go in but seem to remember a Rovers connection. Does anyone know if that’s still the case? I might pop in if so.

Dont think there's a real Rovers connection Belton ie. Alick was working the Coal Hole snug bar late 70's. It was just a handy central London pub for anybody working Covent Garden West End way and I think there was some regular meetings at one bit. Its not a bad pub but seem to remember it being Sam Smiths and I think had that range of rubbish lagers. If you drink lager like....

Used to meet up once a month with one or two fellow supporters until I retired and moved back home. It's a Nickolsons pub and had some good beers in.

Thanks Acacia, Welling… I’ll give it a miss then!

I went in a few times on week-ends away and it was always good cask ale.

Sorry lads if I got the wrong brewery.
I used to work around the corner and always thought good old London boozer but not great on the amber.
Pays getting the facts right.

There was a sort of unofficial London Branch where folks went to that pub for a natter and some beer. Never formally arranged but a recognised place in London for Rovers supporters to go. Haven't heard of it though in years now.

There used to be about half dozen if us go in there first Thursday of every month, and before games in London. Good times with good lads, remember 1 night quite drunk talking with Sir Ian McKellan about Donny and DRFC.
