Hi everyone I’m now on the downward spiral not but I have not been on to update you all as the last time I did on another post one member said I’m an idiot and I don’t need to do it all the time as most don’t want to know so I haven’t. I don’t want to know how long I have left but I’m max 18 month
-
Sorry to hear that Dave but hope you will be well enough to get to some more games
-
That I’m not sure about mate but I hope so
-
Really sorry to hear that Dave, I hope you can enjoy the time you have left
-
Hope you make the best of the time you have Vicar. Good luck.
-
Keep going Dave, make as many memories as you can.
-
Keep fighting Vicar,
-
As we said last time we met at the ground Dave, sh!t happens and not a lot you can do when the big C comes calling.
Stay strong, remember the good times and keep fighting
-
Can we do anything with the club where you can attend and be comfortable?
-
Strength to your family and closest friends!
-
Probably 1986ish was moaning to my son about not being able to get a programme. We were playing Blackpool I think and you said do you want a Blackpool programme? You can have this one and took my 50p or whatever it was. Later when I looked at the programme it was the previous season's.
It made me laugh that somebody even had it at the game.

Don't listen to the tw*ts mate. I might not agree with everything you say on the forum but I wouldn't wish anything bad to come to you. Really sorry to hear you're not doing great but keep fighting! You're a key part of this forum and we all wish you well.

All the best Vicar, keep fighting!

I was supposed to be going to the last game in the wheelchair that Gavin had started up for me but I was too ill
-
Stay strong vicar. All the best
-
All the best The Right Reverend.
-
All the best Dave, keep fighting.
-
Never met you but have read your posts with interest. You post what and when you want. Sending my best wishes. Keep strong as possible. Love from a fellow rovers fan
-
Keep battling Dave like I’m sure you will, all the best to you and your family.
-
Fight on Vicar. The medical profession don’t always get it right. I agree with Spilsby - post what you like, when you like. All Rovers fans are well and truly with you.
-
All the best pal
-
Stay strong Dave, opinions of ‘experts’ are there to be beaten.
Three years ago my wife was given 1 to 3 years and although exhausted she is still inspirationally fighting strong. We even managed to enjoy our youngest daughter’s wedding earlier this month after two postponements.
All the best and I trust you have good support around you - you certainly have a whole host rooting for you on here.
All the very best my friend.

My brother's going through the same awful thing. All the best, mate. Keep fighting.

There’s a hell of a big family on here willing you on Dave.
-
Sending you big love Dave.
-
A horrible, horrible fight Dave. Hope, fear,
more hope, renewed fear. A ceaseless, wearying struggle endowed with pain, sickness, loss of memory, loss of immunity, loss of freedom. I am watching my sister die now. I hope you do a whole lot better mate.

So sad to hear, awful illness.
Best wishes to you and your family.
-
Wishing you all the very best fellow Rover.
-
best wishes fella
-
Keep in there Dave. And I know I speak on behalf of all the past and present members of the now defunct Dearne Valley/Conisbro branch who you occasionally travelled with when I was secretary. I have just come out of 2.5 weeks in hospital with covid/pneumonia but that must be nothing compared to what you are facing. Keep in there DAve, a genuine old mate.
-
Dave,
like the rest of us I am very sorry to hear the bad news.
BUT, just don't give in. My wife was given 3 to 4 years of life expectancy with cancer and we are 12 years on now and grateful for the extension of time.
I think the last game she attended was the Plymouth game when COPPS got sent off, COPPS of all people!!!
Just don't give in they don't always get it right, a positive attitude is essential, I don't think I need to tell you that.
-
Keep fighting padre
-
All the best to you Vicar, and I hope you stay strong enough to keep fighting this terrible illness. Good luck fellow Rover.
-
I wouldn't pretend to even try to understand how you must be feeling Dave or try to tell you how to live your life. Other than to say, live everyday, cherish every moment and fight this horrible illness all the way.................
-
Good to see you still around ND
-
Has anyone got an update on Vicar?
-
He was online about a week ago, so hopefully he’s doing well.
