Another bloody away draw. How many in row now.

Another bloody away draw. How many in row now.
you won't be saying that when we get a big one away in the 3rd round .... at least it's a freebie
-
In the FA Cup - - seven
Including the League Cup - eleven - a 1 in 2048 chance.
Last home draw was 5th round FA Cup against Palace in 2019.
I don't count JPT/Papa Johns etc since groups mean there are always home fixtures.
-
Looking forward to this one, means we play Scunny away twice in 5 days
-

Has to go down as a good draw for us even though away from home.
It simply is a game we should win. Scunny are shocking at present, yes i know we are no great shakes but based on what i saw at Harrogate last week if we are focused on the day then we will be in the hat for the 2nd round.
-
Hopefully Saturday and the standard round 1 tenner a ticket. Sell out.
-
Plod will make this an early kick off no doubt.there is no way this will be 3pm sat ko
-
The speed cameras will be out on the M180 that day without a doubt, parking wardens will also be out on Gunness straight

I all ways use the A18 anyway

Looking forward to it. Very confident too.
-
Hopefully be Saturday as then the Tuesday game in the EFL game will be moved to Wednesday.
-
If the match ends in draw when will the replay be played ? It’s usually 10/11 days after original fixture but that will the same week as some clubs have players away with international teams

A draw, seriously, we are not going to draw Draytonian, we’re going to go there and give them a good hiding.
He says hopefully. :)

Don't games have to be decided on the day now?
Thought last season it was extra time then penalties
-
Only after R4.
-
We don't do easy in any cup games, or any other game at the moment.
-
No doubt this will be the game that gets Scunthorpe’s season back on track.
-
They are terrible. Played 15 games this season: won 1, drawn 4, lost 10. Their win was just 1-0 against Tranmere.

Tranmere can’t have played any strikers that day to get a NIL.
Oh just realised we haven’t any. Maybe we won’t give them a good hiding. Yes we do not do easy in cup ties do we.
Chorley away as a recent example. Although we did get 5 at FC United of Manchester.
-
0-0 then... Replay then pens
-
0-0 then... Replay then pens
Your wetting my appetite ER
Can’t wait for that penalty shoot out. You didn’t say whether we win it or not?
-
0-0 then... Replay then pens
if we get through on pens that will do !. I actually think we will get through easily.
-
Could do with a cup run maybe more funds then for signings
-
Is there a date and kick off time yet was going round Sheffield for a drink then on to the arena to see madness and squeeze but will go to Scunthorpe then the arena if it's a Saturday with a 3 o'clock kick off
-
Will probably be decided by Thursday after this week's replays
-

Whatever kick off time yo are bound to see madness!

I reckon they will make us ko early to avoid the early drinkers being a problem
They like to bus people from Althorpe Station as well but Sunday's there are no slow trains on that line so I will guess Saturday 12 noon ko
Bunnies 1 (Beestin) Rovers 4

I love your optimism, Wolfie, but I can't see this Rovers team putting 4 goals past anybody.
-
We are just about to hit a purple patch  :scarf:
-
Was at Gateshead last night watching my local/2nd team Marske United in the 4th Qualifying round replay - what a match! Non-stop action, passion, goals and excitement!
I honestly think either team from last night would give this current Rovers team a good game too, I'm afraid to say.
Up the Seasiders! :bscarf:
-
Seen a list of the televised cup games. Ours isn't on. Went on the football on tv site.

Tv companies only show teams with big support SWFC v PAFC or likely upsets when the non league team is at home, most of the time, but no doubt someone will quote a match from years ago
-
We are just about to hit a purple patch  :scarf:
COME ON DONNY LETS HAVE A 1 GOAL BURST
-
Showing Saturday 3pm. Also it's not on the BBC any more and that was why half the games were on a Sunday

They seem to pick non league teams that are at home.
-
Wednesday v Plymouth. Why?
Piss take for Plymouth fans as well having to do that kick off time on a Sunday.

Google says 6 hours 45 mins for trip by road...... provided there are no hold ups - so to give themselves some slack, they will need to set off at 3am or overnight it.......
Slightly better by train, but again it will probably be a pre 6am start.
-
Will avoid this game due to the sheer number of absolute braindead f**kwits amongst both sets of 'fans'. Are FA Cup games on ifollow?

Yes has say about 6 hrs by car or bus.
There’s no trains out of Plymouth to Sheffield on Sunday morning until after 9am so that’s no good.
So it looks like the majority of Plymouth supporters will be watching on TV.

Don’t know how the hell you expect us to score four my old mate, where are the goals going to come from ? Let’s have a bet, a couple of pints of end pump at the Jemmy, I say we won’t score more than two.
-
What's wrong with Flying to Doncaster Airport then on to Sheffield, and the Plymouth fans can wonder for the rest of their life why they call it Doncaster/Sheffield airport seeing as it is so far away to the game.
-
Bolton v Stockport will be big. Even more so now that Sarcevic has gone to County.
-

No, mate. No FA Cup games on iFollow this season.

Plymouth is about 4 and half or 5 hours and will have chosen it because of Wednesday fans so will get the viewing figures

It's definitely not 6 hours in the car. I've done it more than once in less to Doncaster and Sheffield is further south.
-

I don't think there are any flights between Doncaster Airport and any other UK airport.

Pump 2 for me though

We've been given an initial allocation of 650 for this game at 15 quid a pop for adults. Now a 1pm kick off.
How many are we likely to take for this one then anyone care to guess?
Not sure how many the away end holds at Scumthorpe but surely we'd fill it?

1678 plus 500 down the side if there is demand
-
Can’t remember us not selling out in recent years at scunny and with us hopefully going into the game on good form (touch wood) we should be filling out behind the goal at least.
-
We didn’t sell out a few years when Alfie Beeston scored the very late equaliser, there was plenty spare seats

Me and my mate so at least two of us going.
-
Usually a tenner this round isn't it?
-
Scunny set the prices don't they?
Pretty sure they would have charged a tenner against someone like Harrogate or Barnet.
-
We didn’t sell out a few years when Alfie Beeston scored the very late equaliser, there was plenty spare seats
my mistake then, but we usually go there in good numbers and with us hopefully going there on the back of a good run of form and it looking very likely that it could be the last time we play them in a good few year (barring the PJT game) I would be surprised if we didn’t take 1500+.
-
 Well that’s me not going due to finishing work at 2pm in Donny. I would have made it nicely for 3pm. Absolutely p1ssed off about police and clubs changing local fixture times at a whim. Can’t remember the last local derby I went to because of this
-
Blame the idiot that cause issues at these fixtures. Not the clubs or police .
-
Just got mine, selling centre block behind the goal at the moment
-

I read "centre back" for a moment then, thought I might be able to get a game!

Some idiot has decided it is a good idea to trial drinking beer in seats at Leyton Orient and other NL and L2 clubs.
Can you imagine Scunny and Donny fans being allowed to drink beer in their seats for this match for example?
Carnage.
Just another way in which brain dead cretins can ruin the game for other fans IMO.
These fans who constantly swear, abuse, thrown things and generally behave like they have no parents don't realize that other fans have paid their money too to enjoy the game in a different way and do not want to be subjected to this type of behaviour.
Clubs should start getting fines IMO for not dealing with d**kheads ruining it for others.

Just got mine, selling centre block behind the goal at the moment
We have got ours too for the same area.
I hope people are able to sit where they like.
Afterthought edit:
That’s not so I don’t have to sit near Filo, but so I don’t have to be in the middle of the singing/standing section.

I shall wear a white rose on my lapel and carry a copy or The Socialist Worker under my arm Lol!
Seriously thought the centre area of that block will probably be stood, I have booked an isle seat
-
So have I so I will watch for the Rose as well

I will look for you in the corner then Wolfie.

Personally I think beer drinking should be allowed back in seats. My rationale behind that is those who want to have a drink at the game don’t need to power drink pre match and at half time , thereby consuming booze in a concentrated period of time.
Those with a pint at kick off are unlikely to want to go back to the concourse mid game. So it’s spreads out drinking time . Much more responsible imho. Lots of other sports allow this. I actually think banning drink from seats compound the issue. Obv it should be all plastic.
The only concern I would have is when teams score there would be the “what seems fashionble” display of beer wasting/ throwing such as when England score in televised games . Which should be a crime imho.
-
Do they still dish parking tickets out on Gunness straight?

Not ordinarily, no. You seem to be missing the point which is that these types of people deserve to be abused and sworn at, in private of course, so that nobody else is subjected to the tirade.

Sounds legit.

Yes, any of the shopping car parks.
Two of us go to the game and the two wives go shopping.
Meet up afterwards.

Yeah I remember mate, I was off to the side of the stand behind the goal.
-
Thought there were time limits on those
You may be right but we have always done that when we play at Scunny.
Even if it is four hours limit that is bags of time.
The only time we didn’t do it was for a midweek game and we were stuck in their bloody car park for over an hour after the game.

No - there are a couple of lay bys with signs allowing Parking for 1 hour I think it is - and there were several signs prohibiting Parking on the verges - but these may be 200 yards apart
Some games I pass there may 4 or 5 cars [max] on the verges but when we come to town " yahoo" its time to get down there and print some money
PMd you

The top end of the M181 is now 50mph and there is a camera that works. It's probably one of the few things in Scunthorpe that does.
-
This is from Google Maps street view, near the roundabout, no waiting at any time on verge
-
Given our away form. I'm starting to think that Scunny is a banana skin that we may slip on. :(
-
If we lose to Crewe and scunny then he’ll resign
-
Lose to Crewe with another inept away performance he should be sacked
-
Scunny lost yet again on Saturday. They are truly and incontestably the very worst of the worst. If we lose to them then we’ve pretty much given up the right to be taken seriously.
-
I very much doubt they will have considered it but isn't now the time for the board to be doing their homework and have a manager to slot in
if when Wellens goes?
-

11 v 11 where each 11 is woeful and have only 11 points apiece
We are dreadful away - so anything is possible
Expecting a huge score so usually ends 0-0 but can anyone see that either
-
Not a game for the purist that’s for certain.
-
Scunny game will show us exactly where we are, we failed to score against mid table Walsall early in the season and went through on penalty’s. Lose to Crewe and Scunny and Wellens should be on his bike
And when it comes to getting a new manager lets not get all sentimental and recruit a former player, it doesn’t work as proved by the last two appointments
-
I very much doubt they will have considered it but isn't now the time for the board to be doing their homework and have a manager to slot in if when Wellens goes?
Does anyone really think that will be happening.
-
If we lose to Crewe and scunny then he’ll resign
Steve Bruce allegedly had 8million reasons for not resigning, obviosly not the same for Wellens but still enough to stop any resignation
-
Which is a marker of the man. (men). No pride. Happy to be culpable for failure and continue to take payment for it.
-
I am actually seriously concerned now about getting knocked out at Scunny.
If we draw or lose at Crewe and then struggle at Scunny, the atmosphere will be toxic.
I can't now say with any confidence that we will beat Scunny.
-
How are ticket sales going anyone know
-
How are ticket sales going anyone know
Looking at the online sales page there are 5 blocks of seats locked from booking so presumably these have been booked out. Leaving 2 blocks left. I don't know the exact numbers but reckon some more will turn up if we beat Crewe.
Shame that there aren't designated areas at away ends for supporters who want to avoid being near numbskulls. Especially at games like this where there is likely to be no space anymore to relocate to if you get near some idiots. Of which i'm sure there will be plenty of on Saturday.

Or maybe they are men who still believe they have what it takes to turn it around, depending on how you look at it.

Be plenty of room away crowds as poor as home crowds. In fact I was shocked 600 turned up yesterday. However probably more the London day trips for many.
