Awful bench. Hopefully we won’t need it. Disappointed not to see Oluwu in for Williams but hoping he’ll prove me wrong.

Because we have two players (passengers?) who RW refuses to play....

"Awful bench" then hoping one of them is on the pitch. Not very logical.

"Awful bench" then hoping one of them is on the pitch. Not very logical.

So you consider a bench of 6 with barely any senior appearances between them and not a single one that anyone of sane mind would consider a potential game changer anything other than awful?

I don’t really know if Olowu is any good but I do know that Williams has been worse than awful for us so far this season.

Not a bad start so far, hopefully we can keep it going.

Best I’ve seen Bostock play and Galbraith is a baller. If we can get those 2 dovetailing this season we’ll be fine. Played well but although the front 3 have worked hard I still think we look a bit short up front, we’re creating more than we have been though so every chance we could go on to win this.

A decent first half, Rovers keeping their front line very quiet, and creating some decent chances. Looking good if we can keep it up, one will work.

Really good half from Rovers, competing for everything & winning more of our fair share of second balls. Williams, Close, & Galbraith pick of our lot along with Bostock who is running the show. Come on Rovers we can win this.

Have no belief we can win a game when we concede. Similarly no belief that we’ll stay up now. Gills are poor really poor we are worse.

As a team on paper we shouldn’t be this bad, eventually that needs addressing at management level. I know we’re not a sacking club but that can only carry on so long when it’s this bad

Title: Re: Gills V TLOD
Post by: DonnyOsmond on October 19, 2021, 09:40:42 pm
We do alright between the two boxes. Going forward we overcomplicate things and there is too many pea rollers straight to the opposition keeper. At the other end we can't defend set pieces for shit. If we lose to a team like Gillingham after largely dominating then I don't see us staying up.

yes it is ol boy. Technically Bostock, Galbraith and Close were better. Technically Williams, Knoyle, Dodoo, Hiwula, Cukur, are amongst the worst batch of signings I can think of for quite a good while. And that’s not counting the squad players of Barlow, Gardner etc.

We pass in nice triangles here and there but how often do we threaten teams? How often do we stretch them? It's just sterile.

We are the worst team I've seen this season. I don't remember saying that about a Rovers team before.

And you know what makes it a lot, lot worse? The fact that Richie Wellens is goimg to take the blame for the accumulating mistakes of 2 years. That turncoat in S6 will get away almost scot free with all of his terrible, terrible failures.

Wellens. And I agree he’s been poor. But my point is if we change the manager, as we probably should, nothing will change because we’ve been lumbered with some proper dead wood.

People say footballers are thick. Well these are the least intelligent group of people I've seen. I sit behind the home bench and you wouldn't believe how little of a shit this group of players give. Rovers clean through on goal nope this lot sat on the bench don't even stir. Honestly you wouldn't believe it on Saturday Seaman with a fractured foot climbs over a seat and cracks his foot on the back of said seat.
