Tonight’s team
COYR
-
Theres a lot of responsibility on Smith and Galbraith in that line up
-
Glad to see Tommy in midfield. Defence still looks very unbalanced.
-
There we have it on with only one player on the bench who is close to league one standard in Bostock. A young centre midfield since Whiteman left. A short term contract Left back because we’ve got to play Rowe further forward. Young probably cheap centre forward because Okenbirhie still injured and he’s been injured since the end of last season and we haven’t got him right. Yet we are expecting this side to get a result tonight.
Where has the level of players gone that we had under DF and the playoff side under McCann.
By the way it’s not got nothing to do with the playing budget.
-
I fffing hope we win tonight. 4 cup finals in the next league games. Have these players got any balls?
-
That midfield will get bum raped.
-
Who else have we got to play there ??
-
Rowe could play there, but I think he has done right by putting Rowe in the engine room, hopefully he can drive us forward, to a win.

A lot left because they were loan players, and others were told by the fans and management they were not good enough for League 1 (Blair, May, etc)
-
You look at the side and wonder who's going to win the ball in what's bound to be a scrap, that's the fundamental problem. I actually feel the attack has some promise (in terms of staying up). We will see how it goes, nervy and tough one ahead.
-
I was reading earlier a report where Wellens was bemoaning the fact that he hasn’t been able to field a settled side … then the next team he picks excludes Bostock who he played in the previous game. Ok, if Bostock is nursing a niggling injury, fair enough. If not, Wellens is contradicting himself.
-
How many loan players under DF and MCCann had three.

Richie said Bostock wolf be lucky to play but looking at the bench he’s been put there just in case. Otherwise he would have played but he’s not good enough anyway
-
the only way to get out of this league UPWARDS FOR ROVERS is with loan player A couple of years ago leicester had good under 23's eg the ADMIRAL ETC ... aston villa under 23's have won all 3 matches so they must be good there must b one or two suitable for ROVER S... AND WE HAVE HAD A RELATIONSNSHIP WITH VILLA OVER THE YEARS
-
Are we going to question the squad depth and ability ahead of EVERY fixture until key players return or we see some incomings in January.?
We all KNOW there are shortfalls at present, it doesn’t need pointing out on every match day thread.!
However we have struggled this season, Crewe are worse. A win tonight, any old how, is what we need..

Exactly
People talking like they’re shocked at the lineup,
What did u expect?
-
Chuff me.
Two terrible teams on show.
-
Madger coming on for Crewe.
-
Chuff me.
Two terrible teams on show.
23rd v 24th shouldn’t be a surprise
CiM
-
Crewe look a very young side or is it just me that’s getting old!
-

TBF they often do put young players in their side.
-
I'm a supporter mate. I desperately hope every game we'll play better. But it's just not happening l. the way we've started here I have no words. Struggling to fit two passes together

Cameron Archer for me but we are probably not good enough for him or for Villa to let him come here
-
Feeling your pain!
Hopefully will improve.

At the moment I’ll take points over performance..
-
We’re second best in midfield

5th highest at interceptions for a midfielder in League One and the highest completed forward passer in the league isn't good enough. Some of our fans don't understand football.

I will always take points over performance, IDM!
-
It was coming.
-
and so it goes on......
-
One down again.
-
Speechless
-
Shite.
Sorry, We are absolute shite.
Don't be under any illusions or delusions.
-
Yet another from a set piece.
-
Chris Porter FFS
Wellens will be gone tomorrow
-
Let’s see what reaction we get, on the pitch..
-
Game over!!
-
Strongest team in the division again.
-
Williams getting dominated again. What an absolutely woeful signing
-
I’ve just seen the goal on SSN. Porter was unmarked. Easiest goal he will score. The defending is embarrassing
-
This is fxxking rubbish ,rovers are terribly
-
We’ve got too many injuries to defend set plays and do the basics according to some. Need Taylor and Fej back to defend crossed! Injuries and budget have nothing to do with not doing the basics
-
Chris Porter FFS
Wellens will be gone tomorrow
I hope so. Had enough of this. We might not be the best team in the league and I get that we are rebuilding, but there is no excuse that we are so disorganised, have no shape and clearly have no plan. That's down to Wellens.
-
Defending is just a f**king shambles. Every game
-

They’ve had to make 5 changes and had to sub another 10 minutes into the game. We are sh*te!, Wellens has to go.
-
Is this team actually good at anything?
-
Game over. We won’t score at least 2 to win and we are unlikely not to concede again.
f**king woeful doesn’t even do it justice
-
Maybe Paul Gerrard is the one who needs to go? Something definitely needs to change though.

This is where i'm getting too now. No complaints if he goes i have always said end of Nov before it becomes do or die
-
We can talk about the defending being shambles lads but there is no danger of us scoring in this game lads.
Two fundamental problems.

Absolutely.
-
Might get a couple a goals
-
Was optimistic about tonight but would appear we have now reached rock bottom.

I'm been very sarcastic in my post. I agree pretty much with you
-
Porter has got a few against us over there the years. Don’t panic plenty of time, but they need to pull their finger out. They are men now some of our young players, need to show it, come on Rovers!.
-
Game over!!
What a silly thing to say...
-
The board has a decision to make because there is no plan, no organisation and no indication that Wellens can improve things.
-
Maybe Paul Gerrard is the one who needs to go? Something definitely needs to change though.
He's a goalkeeper coach why's he been made set play coach and by who? Someone else can do that job. It's obviously not working the manager can change it.
-
What happened to the high pressing passing football Wellens?
The players are hitting it long EVERY time.
-
We need Bostock on to slow things down in midfield instead of the panic hoofs downfield
-
I’ve just seen the goal on SSN. Porter was unmarked. Easiest goal he will score. The defending is embarrassing
Just like Andy Williams goal the other week and Wycombe's goals, I’ve never seen anything like it at any level, could cry!
-
Really looking forward to tonight. I can't wait for the Rovers players to get out on the pitch.
-

Now if Pontus had been stood in the middle of his goal.......
-
Get in! Olowu
-
Ok. get in.
-
Get in
-
weve scored a goal.
-
Olowu saves the day (maybe). 1-1.
-
Get in Jo
-
We needed that goal. Make no doubt about it, one of the worst half of football from a Rovers team since the conference years.
Get into them Wellens.
-
Get in! Olowu
Didn’t someone say it was game over a while back.??
-
Yes. Come on just before half time got to come out better next half
-
Right, that gives us something to build on second half.
Come on lads!
-
Looks like Olowu was on pitch To score you’ll all have to wait now for Richie to go
-
That is as shite a half of football as anyone will ever pay £26 to watch. But we are still in it.
-
Fcuk me we’ve scored a goal
-
He’s got some ability that young lad. Needs to sign.
-
Good cross from Knoyle. Poor from Crewe but we will take it.
-
Lucky to go in level, second best all over the pitch
-
Some folk on here need to grow a pair!
-
George Boyd reckons it’s two poor sides but we’re edging it!
-
Up there with one of poorest half’s this season and managed to squeak a leveller
-
Two mediocre league 2 outfits, has to be said however you polish it
-
George Boyd reckons it’s two poor sides but we’re edging it!
I guess we can put that one on the mantel piece then?
Slightly better of the bottom two sides (according the George, fing, Boyd)
-
Some folk on here need to grow a pair!
Those on the pitch could benefit from that advice
-
Suppose not many will be moaning about the added time this week at end of the half
-
The half time entertainment truly captures the mood.
-

"Mediocre" ? Neither team are THAT good !
-

Nah,
Point being, donny fans saying we’ve been outplayed all over the park.
Ex pro, who’s a neutral says we’ve edged it
-
I couldn’t give two f**cks how we play, if we get the result
-
Somebody get a message to Richie quick - I have a masterplan!
Play every one at left back - its the only way to score
-
We need to win ,but we have to play better than that first half as it was like watching 2 Sunday league teams playing
-
Well at least we are back in it, but make no mistake that as poor a half of football I have seen from us in years, defending for their goal was farcical. Let's hope we can improve & sneek a win.
-
Dahlberg saved 2-1 there.
-
Another Crewe corner
-
WE SHOULD HAVE GONE IN FRONT THERE.
SUPERB COUNTER ATTACK.
-
Wensdeh three up over Sunderland.
S/land don't seem to like playing in Yorkshire.
-
Don't think this is going to finish 1-1
-
Looks like Olowu was on pitch To score you’ll all have to wait now for Richie to go
I want Rovers to win every game, just believe he’ll go if we lose. I don’t want that, it’s a painful expensive procedure for the club. At the same time I’m undecided about Wellens, there are massive holes in our play.
-
Last 10 minutes we've looked better. Tupac had a good chance there.
-
Better now from us.
-
That cukur miss was a shocker. Hit the f**king target
-
Anderson booked now.
-
Hiwula goal ruled out for offside.
-
Cukur tiring now, replaced by Vilca soon?
-
Another chance went begging there
-
Smith booked now.
Misses next league match.
-
Suspensions are coming
-
Cukur tiring now, replaced by Vilca soon?
He's looked knackered since the 1st minute.
-
Hiwula goal ruled out for offside.
How is it that wide players so often find themselves offside? Can’t they just look across the line before moving forward? For crying out loud, it’s not difficult…is it? :headbang:

He was central.
-
You just know whats coming here.
-
A Rovers winner ?
-
A draw when we could have done with a win, a shame but better than losing another away match.
-
At last, an away point.
-
Two extremely poor teams. A draw almost inevitable result.
-
Horrible performance. We looked to bang it as far away from our goal as possible all the time. No interest in building with possession and probing for openings. Just awful. Crewe were there for the taking tonight because they were no better and we blew it.
Rowe clearly unfit. Barely in the game at all. Did we learn nothing from last weekend?
-
A 5-0 yellow card count seems harsh?
-
On the contrary, if we played more direct then we have maybe learnt we have to play differently away from home.
Regarding attempts on goal we’ve absolutely battered them, and came closer to scoring than they did on a few occasions.
-
Can't really believe we wasted so much time when playing bottom of the league
-
A point a point, which is more than we’ve got from any other away game this season.
Onwards and upwards, on to the FA Cup
COYR
-
Can't really believe we wasted so much time when playing bottom of the league
Mmmm, we are hardly top of the league mate are we.
-
Two teams that won’t leave the bottom four all season
-

Bold prediction
Only 3 points off now
-
Two certainties for relegation
-

no mate but if we were ever going win a game it was that one as even thou we played awful they played just as bad
-
It was never going to be a free flowing game though was it!
It’s a better point for us than them,
Another chance to keep up our decent home form next
-
Their commentators taking the p#ss all game , and at one point said that they couldn't believe it was a professional match.
-

a point is a point that is the only positive in that match m, it was like watching 2 bad Sunday league teams, I really can't understand how we have become so bad, I just can't see how we can improve much in the near future
-
Welcome point, but performance wise it's as bad as it gets. I have no idea what they do in training, but there is no pattern to our play at all, just awful, awful football. I have seen some poor centre forwards over the years, but Cukur is the worst I've seen.
-

I think the Fleetwood game will be postponed.

Not really. Combine both sides points totals and you'd still be in the bottom half!
-
That is as shite a half of football as anyone will ever pay £26 to watch. But we are still in it.
In fairness, the first half was a rollercoaster of Copacabana football compared to the second half.

Not sure what that has to do with getting out the bottom 4
