I see inflation is running at around 20 % in turkey. And you can get 18 lira to the pound currently.
Good time to holiday there .

They have one of the right wing populist headcases in charge. He's advocating absolute batshit voodoo economic policy. It's going to be very frightening if he destabilises a country as big and strategically important as Turkey.

  I  once got 250000 lira to the pound and a year later 2,500,000 to the pound  a trip on the Dolmus to town was 25000 lira and 250000 equivalent to 10p  go as far as you wanted, the best bus service in the world.
   When they revalued in 2005 1 million old lira = 1 new lira.

The problem here, with the Omicron virus as it is, going abroad anywhere is quite a risk.
