Who gets this job now. FS or someone else.
This seriously is a big job and such an important one.
This is almost as important as the Managers job imo.
Continuity I think would be good. FS and his enthusiasm would looking in from the outside surely makes a lot of sense.

How about Andy Butler.

Go with that.

Butler is a good shout. But does that then stitch up the Belles who are doing well at the minute

Could be wrong but I think Club Don would facilitate him doing both - Butts was doing two jobs just recently when set piece coach at Posh as well as the Belles.

The present academy manager is Tony Cook, who has always been so, and was responsible for appointing both Gary McSheffrey and Frank Sinclair to their positions as u18s and u16s lead coaches.
So no change there required we already have the best person we could have in place overseeing the whole age group system, a great guy who gives it everything and has progressed the academy in every way.
With an assistant he currently also has taken the task of the u18s so a new head of the u18s required and there are a number of very good coaches within the club who could do the job.
Tony Mee took up Frank Sinclair's place as u16s head coach another great coach and guy and very experienced.
There are also some very good younger coaches and every age group are very well looked after and organised. If the coaches are to come from outside then Tony Cook has now a record of appointing coaches who have gone on to now become first team standard so no problems there, and all the existing coaches are great, enthusiastic and knowledgeable, so promotion from within also is not a problem. And all the team and Tony Cook especially are ambitious for the academy to be a big success, and become better every year. Names most will not know but be assured have high standards, know the game inside out and work very very hard for the youth players to be absolutely as good as they can possibly be at football and just as important the best they can be as rounded good people, school work is not allowed to suffer and the education side is pushed just as hard as the football side, and rightly so.

I’ve been slated for suggesting cronyism is alive and well at club Doncaster.

Fair enough.
Clearly the Peterborough Telegraph is a paper that’s on the ball.

Surely not NR - you and Elmsall clearly have your fingers on the pulse at downtown Eco-Power.
