They're great those birds but very mischevious.  When I visited that part of new zealand the guide we were with was telling us about them constantly getting punctured tyres from the birds and things being taken so they were always keeping an eye on them. Fascinating.

I must say I was a bit underwhelmed going into a darkened area with a very dim light straining to see a kiwi scratching around
