Whoever decided to change the rules to make that goal within the rules of the game should be banned from ever watching a football game again.
If ever there was a reason for VAR to be scrapped, it’s that!
-
If he was playing basketball he would have got done for a double dribble, may have been accidental but he set himself up

Why is it VARs fault the law has changed?

The rule changed because VAR were pulling play back and cancelling out goals because of incidents like handballs etc that might have occurred on the half way line at the start of the attack.
So now, if the offender doesn’t score directly after the hand ball, then it is OK.
I think.

It's hard you can't have a rule that says it's in the refs opinion or to use common sense. Which is what we all want because everyone has different opinions or versions of common sense. VAR's problem is it allows the rules to be applied to the letter rather than to their intention or spirit which is why a goal no one would say should stand will stand.
There shouldn't, in theory, be any mistakes now just laws that we don't agree with. VAR was ruling out goal for handballs way earlier in the build up which was deemed wrong so the rule was changed and inevitably the new rule also seems unfair in certain situations.
Personally would love to get rid of it and just invest in improving the standard of referees.

Well United are out on pens

not the VAR fault though is it,the law is which is wrong

It’s a joke decision, just imagine we lost a game to something like this. I get that more goals will be scored by allowing play to continue, but it makes once very simple rules into interpretation, which causes inconsistent results and decisions.
Take the game back to what it was, where you can put a decent challenge in, a handball is exactly that and you know if a player is offside or not. Money and file changes are ruining the game.

Have ruined Sammy. Have ruined.

Yes Bob, they’ve already done it.

Accidental so play on
-
Surely hand ball has to be intentional, that was accidental.
-
United can only blame themselves for going out with the amount of clear cut chances they had they should have won at a canter

The law wouldn’t have changed if VAR wasn’t used.

Such a pleasant way to round off a friday night. Thanks Boro. :)

Controversial no doubt, probably unhappy if it happened against us but it was against Man U so that'll do for me!
-
Yes ... looked a well dodgy hand ball and we would have been mad as he'll
Ref VAR as always favouring the "big teams"

Message to Rovers forwards today. Try to control the ball, but leave your arm out in case you don't control it properly

You're forgetting it's League 1 mate. The officials won't see it anyway.
