Title: away ticket advice?
Post by: adamtherover on February 07, 2022, 08:35:07 pm
we are planning as a family whilst In London at the end of the month to take in the Wimbledon game.  Tickets are now on sale for STH till next Monday, to guarantee getting one ive contemplated useing my mates ST to purchase one for my other half. However, it will obviously be in his name, does anyone have any recent experience of how much does the turnstile lad check the tickets? I'm kinda guessing its more to see if its an  adult ticket etc. they are on general sale next Monday but I wouldn't want to risk missing out if we can avoid it. There are 650 in total, how many do we usually take to Wimbledon? any thoughts appreciated..

Not sure adam but surely it would just be pay on the day down there? Can't see it being anywhere near a sell out.

If your other half runs on the pitch and t**ts a Wimbledon player, using a ticket bought under your mates season ticket your mate will be in bother, keep her under control lol!

Even with it being a new ground, you’ll still likely get tickets on Monday, if you don’t want to risk it, use your mates ST, all they ever check at best is the pricing band eg child or adult. Names won’t be printed on the tickets

Do people sit in their allocated seats at away games these days.

I thought we were getting an INITIAL 608 tickets. That suggests that if sales go better than expected then we should get more. For what it’s worth, the fact it’s a new ground could potentially add 100+ on the away support I would have thought.

The away stand at the new plough lane holds 1465. The 650 is initial allocation only, which I’d be surprised if all sold. Tickets won’t be an issue for this. Unless rovers win every game between now and then. Then it could be interesting. Here’s hoping.

I bought an adult ticket for Sunderland for my Mrs, using my son's season ticket (18-24).
There were no names on the tickets, just two adult tickets.
