Clayton was wiped out today from a horrendous tackle where the perpetrator was off the ground, not in control of his body and it was reckless - Olowu was sent off at their place for a tackle nowhere near as bad, but got a red because of the antics of the Bolton bench. Today I don’t think Mcsheffrey took his hands out of his pockets when Clayton was nailed.
Then to rub salt into our wounds the lad who should’ve been sent off scores the first goal
-
They might have scored more if they had played with 10 players from that incident.
-
The incident was just in front of where I was sat, I don’t think it ever was a red. I’d have taken it though if it was!
-
The reaction of our players made you think it was a red. Some games that will work and glad we are doing that now. Clayton wasn't hurt at all. Bostock I thought his reaction was brilliant too. We've been to nice in the past when it comes to this.
-
It was 100 times more a red than Olowu's was at Bolton! Ref missed a blatant penalty as well!
-
I thought the ref was ok. Could have blown for a foul but played on before they scored. Did a bit of a Mike Dean celebration afterwards, he was happy with himself.
-
Fernandinho today should have been a straight red also.
-
The standard of refereeing at all levels is shocking. There is no consistency whatsoever. It’s ruining the game in my opinion.
-
Having seen the Athletico Madrid red in mid week, it's no wonder the refs think twice about about giving one.
Absolute disgrace that was with how they were surrounding the ref and the level of abuse he was getting.
-
Fernandinho today should have been a straight red also.
Fernandinho made three fouls in the first half too, any one of which could have been a yellow.
He was lucky to stay on the pitch after that one in the second half.
-
2 red cards in Rosso game today both dodgy
-
Well they are generally poor but are not helped by the cheating diving & play acting
A Madrid v Man City was a great match spoiled by players treading on others feet , telling the Ref that was my first foul ( seems it ok to hack someone down when they have "done" you ) as long as you wave the one finger. For me if it's Yellow it's Yellow any time
And that young kid ...... Felix is fast but he was in the Refs face waving 2 fingers then 3 fingers being the number of times he had been fouled by a particular player.
Not a good look

Quote from Ian Evatt;
"It is not ideal and when players surround officials and a member of their coaching staff is screaming for players to be red carded, I think it’s not acceptable.”
What an absolute hypocrite!

Yes, he must have forgot him and his staff getting Oluwu sent off for a tackle that was no where near as bad as that yesterday

Has this forum gone completely f**king soft? He was being a James Hunt.

To be fair BB, I think we should do it more.
I still think Evatt is being a two faced git though.
