Be aware that from now on, under the Tory law, if you protest about anything and the police deem you to be too loud, you can be arrested.
Plus, here's a senior politician accusing a peaceful, if annoying protestor of violence. When so far as I can see, he's never laid a finger on anyone. Isn't that libel?
-
Not quite as bad as you communists would have done Billy, your lot would have shot him, sent him off to a gulag. or your latest policy, just cancelled him.

roll on the start to the season aye?

BST, you don't need to lay a finger on anyone these days to be potentially cautioned or arrested.
I'd say some people will surmise that this individual has been intermediating and hounding certain people (women politicians) for long enough.
Has he not been given plenty of time and ample opportunity to have made his point?
Would you appreciate someone screaming through a loud-hailer into your face at your place of work every day?
Whilst they are at it i would want to see what his entitlements to benefits are if he's claiming them or what his tax situation is, as it seems he does not work to support himself and has handouts from the dodgy liberals.

He's an antiques dealer - got a shop somewhere - and a big crowdfunder to fund the continuing protest.
This law will stop football fans protesting a bad owner if ANYONE thinks that protest is noisy. It's intended to stop anyone challenging the rich and powerful -whoever they are - by telling the rest of the public how badly they are doing.
You dont get to choose your fascism.
-
Funny that. I thought disturbing the peace was always an offence, not a new one!
Eh, yer learn summet every day!
-
BB.
Then why would we need a whole new law?
-
Probably to discourage those who think it is justifiable to disturb the peace because they claim to be protesting.
-
No, BB. You're being silly again, but I'll indulge you. The disturbing the peace legislation has existed for decades. So why was it necessary to wait until this new law was passed before the police chose to arrest this specific demonstrator? Nothing at all to do with discouraging demonstrators. He's not been "discouraged". He's been arrested. And he was not arrested in the previous 6 years, under disturbing the peace laws.
-
No BST, you're wrong, as per usual. The reason why he was not arrested immediately for disturbing the peace was probably to prevent people like you from accusing the country of being run by fascists.
-
Bye BB.
-
That, BB, is the daftest answer I've seen in a very long time. Internally inconsistent as well as a specious premise! That really does take some dping in 2 sentences!
BobG

But then you would say that, wouldn't you BG. After all, your support for your Viking leader is far, far more important than you actually saying something honest and true. Have you ever wondered why you're almost always on the losing side? Just like your Viking leader, you will probably go to your grave completely oblivious to your false state of righteousness.
Sad, really.

Don't be daft, life and soul of the party these two, could you imagine the misery of being marooned on a desert island with them, you would end up feeding yourself to the fish.
There's a couple of real miserable old gits sit near me in the south west corner, it couldn't be could it?

I always thought that fascism came to power by eradicating opposition and by spreading propaganda every day the same messages slanted to one way of thinking, the way the Nazi party wanted people to think, picking on certain people by attacking their personality, and religion's that were easily identified.
With a ceaseless attack every day, something that BST, Syd, and a few others do on this forum every day, the main point of their lives it seems.
Then they have the gall to call other people Fascist or racists whatever suits their agenda, and don't have the intelligence to realise what extremists they are.
-
or was it charlie drake, I always mix the names up
-
Syd, I would have never guessed you got things mixed up, don't be too hard on yourself buddy.

Like the Tories are doing via the right wing MSM perhaps?
-

thanks selby my thoughts and prayers are with you and your party
-
I have not got a party Syd, just a wife and kids to look after, which I do to the best of my ability like millions of others in this great country, despite which party is in power, whose stewardship I have lived a life of seventy Five years under, and can honestly say they (neither) have made any difference whatsoever to my life that any other reasonable government in the world would not provide.
Not one of them deserve a medal in my book that has been in power during my lifetime, in fact governments of both persuasions have at times made some peoples lives I know turn for the worse.
-
All the same eh?
-
Agreed Syd.
Just saw on the news that an SNP MP has been on the fiddle.
-
So when fuel, energy and food prices keep rising and subsequent mass job losses, businesses going bust etc etc no one will be able to go out on the streets to protest, even if peacefully.
Gives them the option of bringing in the army to restore order if thousands of people think f**k it, I've had enough.
Another stick to bring us to heel.
Mind you, people are that f**kin fat and soft nowadays they'll just keep paying the prices and having a damn good moan about it.
-
Selby.
I don't use "racist" as a lazy insult. I've called you a racist because you used disgusting racist language and never withdrew it.
-
Billy, for that insult I wouldn't even give you the smell off my backside buddy, never mind an apology.
-
Then I have to assume you stand by what you said in here. Which, in my book, justifies my calling you racist.
That's not an insult by the way. It's just the correct term.
-
Think what you want Billy, it's nothing to me at all what you think of me, only what I think of you, only you being racist against your own country has any meaning to me, carry on think what you want be my guest. .

This man has been stood there for 6 yrs shouting abuse at someone. Depending what he has been shouting it could could possibly meet the criteria for arrest under the Public Order Act.
There doesn’t need to be more legislation he just needs dealing with. Obviously I do t know how bad it has been and whether it has all been directed at individuals
-
The authorities have probably turned a blind eye to the pest for so long because people like BST would have called doing otherwise an act of fascism and demanded he is exonerated under the old law, which allowed bad losers like him to disrupt everyone else's life around him, just because he didn't get his own way in a democratic vote.
-
Is it our countries government fault that those things are happening world wide Nudger?
They have just paid a large proportion of the work force in this country to stay at home for about two years and given grants to the self employed to save their jobs only to be taken advantage of by many in scams.
There is too much nanny state, there is too much reward for meaningless management jobs, there is too much reliance on service industries that produce nothing and too little manufacturing of marketable goods with value added items, and a poor education system that pedals leftist ideology that is hell bent on bringing down society as we know it.

I have no beef either way re Brexit, but it was far from democratic. For democracy there needs to be honesty and clear information whereby people can make their choice - there wasn't eg the bus, and of course the Clown. Not only that it needs to be a vote for specifics not for "we don't know what will happen, but trust us as we make it up later behind closed doors" - eg Ireland.
This issue of democracy gets banded about all the time. It means a situation whereby power is with the people. When media/information is corrupt and always paid for by wealthy oligarchs with interests, and especially when the media/information is not balanced or even truthful, there is no democracy. This applies to practically every state that calls itself democratic. It's a scam.

Possibly too much lying by the government too? And too much power held by the wealthy elite? Too much doffing of the cap to those who are placed to rob you? Too much of keeping people in their place by all kinds of methods including dire mental health services where the "cheap" solution is chemical switching off of thinking?
Lots of problems. The solutions are not in liberal free capitalism and elites.
And back to the OP, how is it positive to be giving more power to those in control who in this style of society inevitably have the task of keeping people down, preventing the people from really having a say and preferring them to go about like ants stuffed with a variety of "happy pills".

The Tories have been in power for 12 years. No-one under the age of 17 has been in school under a Labour government.
Most secondary schools have become private acadamies as demanded by these Tory governments.
'leftist ideology'!!!!!

And feeding them bull***t propoganda sso that they believe the problems are caused by the people not in power rather than those who have been in power for a decade.
That is straight out of the fascist playbook - sieze control of the means of information and spread misinformation about the opposition.

If person can be arrested for what they say rather than the volume it's surprising that johnson has never been arrested.
