Title: Passport delays .. nah
Post by: Donnywolf on July 05, 2022, 07:01:44 pm
Online for Mrs Wolfie - back on Day 12
It was a straightforward renewal and I reckon that helped
Maybe [I'm speculating] - if its an "easy" job they might have a dedicated 33% of Staff working just on them. Then rest get stuck into the more complex ones BUT for the statistics they can say the "average" wait time is say 4 weeks now and falling
So get em in if they are "easy"

We had the ridiculous scenario whereby they queried my wife's change of name. Apparently they missed off the apostrophe in her surname when the last passport was issued and quite correctly we added it back in this time.

We then had the ludicrous situation where they wanted proof of name change! Umpteen phone calls and further correspondence resulted in them issuing her new passport without the apostrophe again!

For anybody who has a non standard character in their name you'll realise how difficult this can be when completing documents on line. The amount of times I'm forced to misspell my name is just crazy.
