Who has bought theirs so far? Just gone on to buy and they are only offering area G which is at the side of the goal. Does this mean we have sold our allocation behind the goal or are they waiting for us to sell the side before giving us further tickets behind the goal?
Would much rather sit behind the goal tbh so just wondering whether to wait it out or not.

I might be wrong, Swain, but I don't think they use that stand behind the goal anymore.
-
They open it if the away team will fill behind the goal on top of the side stand. They won't open it if we sell out the original allocation and say ask for 300 more. So likelihood is a few hundred who want to go aren't going to be able to.
-
We’ve got ours. Block F
-
Last time we went we were on the side which they use as the away stand now, occasionally a scattered few away fans behind goal.
-
Yep got ours early doors Block F
-
Thanks for the reply guys! Will just go ahead and purchase to avoid missing out!
-
The tickets are for the corner part of the ground I think ,3 of us going
-
I'll be buying at least ten for friends and family with it being a home game for us. Rovers will be making a few quid as well with their cut.
Anybody buying on the day could well end up paying a bit more as well.
There is a bar in that stand whereas there is no bar behind the goal. I think that City have now either taken over the bars or changed the company as they now reportedly offer more choice at a better price.

Idler people like you who book a lot of tickets for family, you would think there would be deals for you from the club for home games. I’m sure some of those are our next generation of supporters. It’s important for our growth to encourage more to do the same.

I was behind the goal in the top tier the last time we played them, had the stand to ourselves loved it

Sammy, I live in Bradford and unfortunately at 73 once I stop driving to the Rovers I can’t see my grandchildren coming to home games very often. I fear that losing my son almost two years ago has broken the chain. They will be with me when we play City at home as I will hire a minibus again for friends and family.

I hope this season causes the chain to reattach for you and your grandkids, Idler.

So sorry about your son, idler. I hope one of the grandkids is old enough if not now, but soon, to take you to the games and keep your family tradition going. The club relies on the support of families like you. Hope you enjoy the game all of you.

The oldest is 28 in September but now a single parent so can only go occasionally when I take her. The others don’t really follow football now apart from looking for Rovers results and the odd game when I take them. U try to make up by having a season ticket, lottery tickets and iFollow subscription. I was also lucky enough to be able make one or two donations during covid to help the club. The important thing is the club surviving for future generations, even if they aren’t my own.
My son and grandkids saw far more success in their time than I did when I started watching in 1958. Those first few seasons were very challenging to say the least.

Ours in Block F as well, far right behind the goal as you look on to the pitch! Hopefully we keep build on this pre-season momentum and give them a good run out! Would we usually wear our away kit v Bradford - you'd have thought maroon and yellow would clash - hopefully it's here in time for us to pick up before the game!
-
It’s the trains I’m worried about apparently they have sold out ? Are they gonna put more on ?

There is another rail strike that day. If anything more will get cancelled.

Don't think Northern rail are on strike that day

if trains are running sumtimes they say they have sold out but you can still buy tickets from machine, cheapest way from donny is get a return to south Elmsall on the slow train then buy a West Yorkshire day rover, works out about £12/£13 total

There's two 'F's and 'G's on the pic to explain my confusion!! Tickets do say entrance E7 to E12 which looks like the side stand. My apologies for being a dunderhead!!

Only lner. Northern rail every train is available to Leeds
-
Be careful with the trains, although Nothern aren't on strike that day there is every chance other rail companies will be picketing the stations, so I expect plenty of late cancellations.
