We're doomed
:headbang:
-
Just replied to Mr suttons assessment
-
Wow stick that in the training ground and changing rooms pure motivation
-
We have as much chance of finishing 20th as we do 1st according to the odds. Hope there’s equal outrage when people predict us to win the league.
-
Even their own bookies don’t agree with that having us on the same odds as his favourite
-
I replied, also wagered him ( Donny food bank being the recipient either way).
-
I stopped reading at the Leyton Orient bit when he labelled Wellens the Mancunian motivator
-
I’ve read some rubbish on this forum in the past, but this is priceless.
-
Couldn't stop myself - i too have replied to VB:
"Considering in your blog you reckon @drfc_official are going to finish 20th how come our odds for promotion are 9/2 whereas your betting tables have @HarrogateTown at 20th at 16-1 for promotion.
Something doesn't add up - can i have 16-1 too please for DRFC promotion
-
Out of date and out of touch. He definitely needs to try harder.

Gab isn’t an odds complied for BV. He just gives his opinion as someone who covers the EFL.

The variety of different odds and table predictions floating about prove that you can’t trust the polls to be accurate.

We had a budget and on paper a squad good enough to stay up last season but we were absolutely terrible and arguably finished a place higher than we deserved.
It feels like we are far better placed this season but we all thought in August we would not get relegated.
-
Seen another prediction on twitter, just now, that has us finishing 2nd. The truth is probably somewhere in between?
-
Who is this person?
-
Why are people getting worked up. Its one person's opinion......look how many people voted for BJ who were wrong

Agreed. For me we can easily finish anywhere between bottom and 1st. Absolutely no idea.
-
Play offs right now.
Very reliant on the older lads who are our better players arguably
-
One of many opinions you will hear over the season. What matters is what happens on the pitch, the rest is white noise. What we’ve seen on the pitch so far is good. Let’s see if it carries on in the same vein.

If this squad we have now are not capable of top 10 in this league, unless we get absolutely ravished by injuries once again, then the whole lot of them need locking up.
We have a good mix of experience and youth and some very talented players well capable of playing at a higher level.
Seriously if we don’t achieve top 7 then something has gone horribly wrong and we will have badly underachieved.
Top 3 squad imo and if we avoid any more long term injuries and get some of current long term injured up and running within the next couple of months then we have every chance of being Champions.
To set our sights on anything less than top 3 and automatic promotion would be unambitious & unprofessional with this group of players.
It’s only the some of the supporters who are thinking cautiously or in some cases negatively. I am 100% sure the management and players have set their sights on the main prize.
-
The squad is more than capable to challenge in my eyes. The manager is the biggest question. I hope he gets off to a good start as it’s a tough start. See where we are after the first 10 games and take it from there
-
If your looking from the outside without much knowledge you'd see a club on a massive slide who has a manager who took them down still. The only players we've signed who a run of the mill pundit will have heard of it Tomlin and his record, again looking from afar, is one of decline.
So you can kind of see how someone who doesn't know a deal asked to give his opinion on 20+ teams comes to the conclusion we're still rubbish.
Disappointing they don't do more research but then they'd have to work a bit harder. Also an element of outrage is what these things need to generate to get clicks.

That is a very good shout actually. We could very easily finish between bottom and 1st. If we don't, it likely means we've gone bust.

Gab knows his stuff, I know him well, but he is short-sighted on us here in my view. I'm hoping to debate it with him on his show in the near future.
He's nothing to do with the odds either, he's a pundit/writer/observer of the EFL.
-
Currently 6 points above his prediction - doesn't seem so crazy now!
-

Mancunian motivator indeed!
-
I think if anything this thread just goes to show how many supporters had high hopes for us at the start of the season, me included.
If we could only wind back to that point, Garry Mac, was he this bad?
-
He wasn’t a good manager for us.

He wasn’t a good manager for us.
It was proven that he wasn’t a good manager for us, but was he this bad?
