Am i seeing things or is the Salford goal miles offside.
-
We thought that it was from our angle but we weren’t in line so couldn’t be sure.
-
Not being critical of Mitchell who has been pivotal this season but that’s the second time someone has tried a long range effort having spotted him way off his line.
-
Looks offside to me
-
The long shots from half way are a feature I have noted from league 2 - not one should ever end in a goal, and I don’t think they ever have, it is a really poor tactic. ( from kick offs) you’re just handing the opposition the ball

definatly your eyes yard onside and he could have even be at least level with the ball when it was passed
-
I thought that he strayed offside in the build up.

doesn't matter these days..

And it achieved nothing.

not interfering in the build up

The lass who was linesman struggled to keep up with play in the second half and missed a glaring offside that led to a corner, thankfully came to nothing, I don’t know if she was running that line in the first half, it’s just an observation & no it’s not sexist I’ve given plenty of male linos stick over the years - should she be immune because she’s a woman? No that would be more sexist applying double standards.
-
Looks level at the most generous best to me on that last pass, though I'd say it was just offside.

The linespersons run the same line in both halves.

Their goal was deffo offside. Ive got a still from the video that shows as the winger passes it the scorer is offside.
I would post it on here but dont know how to if anyone can help.
-
If it was offside it was marginal. Looked level ish to me and don't have a problem with it being given. I have more of a problem with the two missed tackles in the build up.
At the end of the day, we got the three points!

I beg to differ and even think asante wasn’t even in front of the ball when it was played

Sex is irrelevant, she was absolutely hopeless.

....and was getting plenty of stick during the game for being repeatedly behind play.

Having watched the highlights (again) I also think their lad is offside. When the camera sweeps back as the players are celebrating, you can see the linesman is way back down the line, so at the time of the goal, he was possibly not in line.
It’s a good job it wasn’t the winner!

must be offside then if linesman isn’t right in line when they are celebrating, just looked again and Lino was directly in line when the cross came in
-
Hope this works, screenshot taken just as the final pass is about to go.
Player is behind the second last defender, but looks level with the ball at worst so not offside, and look where the lino is??
It's a male lino too, not that that matters..
-
Don’t think there was anything wrong with their goal on Saturday, but the half hearted tackle by RSW leading up to it should be questioned. Not a lot of commitment in it, but other than that tackle he’s been good so far this season. Let’s hope we can keep him fit.

He was bang in line as the final pass was played.
-
But not exactly looking at the play while running, he was facing the corner flag.

That’s what Mrs Belton keeps telling me.

It’s difficult to work out from the camera angle, but I wouldn’t bet money either way if VAR had been used. I still think the lad is off, but it didn’t matter in the end. That’s what matters.
