Jordan Wright produced this for Lincoln against Barrow,. In different circumstances we had a goalkeeper do the same, Paul Crichton. Who was at the game when he produced this and what’s Crichton up to nowadays anybody?
-
He’s assistant coach of Washington Spirit WFC
-
I was there!
-
He saved the same penalty three times, The same game Dave (Bruno) Jones got an hat trick on his debut.
-
I'm pretty sure the penalty saves were the year after Jones's hattrick.

-
I was there and have on tape somewhere, John Helm saying we should give him an award . I know they changed penalty taker after 2nd one which I didn't think was allowed

-
I was there for Bruno’s hat trick, but missed the penalty saves the following year
-
I remember watching on saints and greevsy, sure it was a midweek night match. I think he was presented an award for it too.

The happy days of Thorne branch bus and being 18 . Was a true constant in my life back then
-
Remember thinking at the time that Bruno and Johnny Muir were going to rip the league a new ar*ehole,
That soon changed.

-
I was there, remember going expecting nothing as per, then being amazed at our two new players and thinking that was it now, the dawn of a new era. Unfortunately it never worked out that way.
Can anyone remember the aftershave poster/advert with Dave Jones and Noteman ? Used to be on the wall in my local chippy.
-
Seem to remember they were unbeaten before that game.
Sure it was a leger Saturday.
Also beast pretty sure Stuart hall had summatt to do with that aftershave.
Wonder what happened to old uncle Stuart :scarf:

We were unbeaten for the first 5 games that season. not only unbeaten but actually 5 wins from 5.
I can remember thinking this was going to be our year but unfortuanately it tailed off in the New Year.
Also at both games.
The Bruno hat-trick was 89-90 season. The following week we beat Notts County in the first round of the FA Cup. Such was the magnitude of the result there was a pitch invasion at the end!! County were riding high in the third division and I think they got promoted so it was a great result indeed.
The 3 penalty saves was early August and it was a blazing hot day. The Rovers that day were magnificent.
As for Stuart Hall's toiletries range he was at our home match with Stockport again 89/90 if I recall correctly. He read out the teams with his usual wordplay. We won that day too against a high flying County.
Happy days!!

the pens save we’re late September
-
15th September, dates on the you tube link to the goal I put on , 11 days before my 18th

He was a good player Noteman, really quick. Muir and Jones did look very promising at that level, it’s strange how things that look almost certain don’t turn out. Wasn’t Crichton at Norwich for a time, higher up as an understudy?

Thought exactly the same at the game, Noteman was so quick & they simply couldn't get anywhere near Bruno, great days.
