I presume Ben Close is being eased back into playing in most games, not injured. He might come on in the second half if needed.
-
Where's Miller?
-
No George either? Injury? He was ok at Rochdale, maybe given a rest until the weekend.
-
As usual i follow incapable of speaking until the second kick off occurs.
-
Slight muscle injury, not serious but rested for the weekend
-
Miller out with a minor muscle issue according to Donny Rovers Facebook page.
-
Molyneux looks to be playing alongside Griffiths
-
The going back to your old club syndrome, he will score
-
What a tackle that was by Faulkner
-
Pool having most of game at moment. They seem to be winning mot balls and had couple of good chances. We can’t seem to get going forward at moment.
-
Poor at the moment going forward
-
Don’t think Griffiths has won an aerial challenge yet. I would prefer Agard at least starting.
-
They’re constantly looking for the ball over the top which is causing us some problems. Looking anything but easy at present
-
These are 12 without a win. We are making them look good
-
Is it just me or does anyone else think Molyneux is so unproductive out wide and looks a better prospect as a midfield/forward?
-
Yes because every manager and defender know what he’s going to do
-
But he did just hit the post, decent effort..
-
His runs always seem to come to nothing out wide but if he plays a short passing game in midfield he seems far more effective.
-
But he did just hit the post, decent effort..
I’m not doubting his effort or ability. Just think we are not using him as effectively as he could be.
-

I think I heard the commentary team say they are 20 without a win.
-
Rovers under the cosh most of the time.
-
What a save.!
-
Molyneux seems to be playing in the position I’m suggesting would be his most effective in this game and he looks to be having a good game.
-
Great save that
-
What a save.!
Who by? Their ‘keeper?
-
Great save by Mitchell
-
Mitchell.. point blank from close in header.
-
1:0
-
Ffs
-
1-0
-
I think at half time Griffith's boots need changing. He is finding it difficult to jump with those divers boots.
-
w**k..
-
Another terrible half from Rovers. Maxwell... awful.
-
It was coming. Garbage this is.
-
Not seen Williams win a header yet.
-
That lay off in Midfield by us was sublime to set them up
-
Awful
-
Error by Maxwell helped them open us up there.
-
maxwell unfortunately is a liability half the time
-
Not seen Williams win a header yet.
He has.
-
Got what we deserved, which team hasn’t won for 20 games?
-
w**k..
I agree - need to work harder....
-
I think at half time Griffith's boots need changing. He is finding it difficult to jump with those divers boots.
Aye, but we're still insisting on lumping it up to him, he's won the grand total of one header.
-
Mitchell.. point blank from close in header.
Thanks, IDM!
-
We just can’t seem to get it together as a team. It’s a regular occurence.
-
Got what we deserved, which tram hasn’t won for 20 games?
Which team is bottom of the division.
-
Not seen Williams win a header yet.
He has.
Doesn’t count if he is unchallenged. It was his man that forced the save from Mitchell before the goal.
I originally posted before I saw the goal but doesn’t change that Williams is crap.
-
Why are we lumping the ball forward in air? I don’t think we’ve won a header yet. It’s shocking.
-
What do we do all week in training? Never seems to be a game plan. Just lump it up to whoever’s unfortunate enough to be playing up top that day to lose yet another header.
-
I thought the point of Hurst and Knoyle was to get to the by line and put crosses in for the front 2. Rovers are not doing that at all.
-
We seem so tame and uninventive.
-

We have looked better with two up top.
-
The few times we’ve played it on the floor we’ve put them under pressure
-
Very poor an deserve to be behind. They seem to be well organised while us clueless. Commentators say we don’t look like a top side.
-
We need someone to get a grip of controlling our possession and directing our play. Clayton isn’t doing it, he’s disappointing so far.
-
This is absolutely dire.
-
Unlucky by Molyneux.
-
Very poor an deserve to be behind. They seem to be well organised while us clueless. Commentators say we don’t look like a top side.
We are not especially this side with this manager
-
Devoid of any ideas. Can't control the ball, can't pass, can't beat a man. Totally and utterly useless.
I think I might be watching the Liverpool game in a few minutes.
-
It is starting to feel like this could be a season of 'might have been's'. Despite having some undoubtedly good players we continue to play without intelligence and without learning. That, to me, is a serious warning sign.
BobG
-
Molyneux is looking decent tonight.
Two good shots, one saved and one hitting the post.
He reminds me of McIndoe the way he moves with the ball.
-
Soon as we go back to 1 up top we become absolutely clueless! Put 2 up top and we will beat these!
-
For whom the bell tolls?
-
We need someone to get a grip of controlling our possession and directing our play. Clayton isn’t doing it, he’s disappointing so far.
Clayton has been shocking for the last month. Biggins just plays i back, Seaman is non league standard. Only Molyneux came away there with any credit. Sort it out GM!!
-
Shite that, we arent going anywhere with him in charge.
-
Got what we deserved, which tram hasn’t won for 20 games?
Which team is bottom of the division.
Currently Rochdale.....
-
What do we change at half time? Move to 442? Close on for seaman? Agard on?
-
Lumping it up front continuously. Apart from being ineffective, it’s also thoroughly boring to watch. Change it McS or expect criticism.
-
Too many key players out.. we’ve half a decent first team missing and it shows.
I’m sure the manager would prefer some of those players to be available!
-
We are playing the 2nd worst side in the game.
We don't press when there defence has the ball. Then they still find players with 15 yards of space 30 yards out from our goal.
We have no energy, no organisation, absolutely zero physical presence anywhere on the pitch.
That half, considering who we are playing, was as bad as anything in the past 3 years. Utterly unacceptable.
-
Big improvement needed second half, this is absolute rubbish. If the management can't see that launching the ball to a lone striker who has barely won a header isn't working & changing it then I despair. Clayton needs to come off he's way off the pace, they're just passing through our midfield to players in space in front of our defenders with ease.
-
These are bottom of the football league and look streets ahead of us very worrying half that , big 45 for GM as a loss and display like that second half could be a nail in the old coffin for him
-
Another Mcsheffrey masterclass
-
Pitch has held up the ball a lot and we appeared to struggle with the conditions a bit. Midfield has been very short and Griffiths can't hold the ball up at all. Needs a rethink completely. Not sure why Molyneux moved, he was getting joy through the middle.
Oh and it's rained under a roof!
-
My first away game tonight. Absolutely awful. There is no quality on show anywhere on the pitch, and even less drive or determination.
-
Jaysus, I'm thinking of turning ifollow off and starting a row with Panda over wether it's dark or not
-
My first away game tonight. Absolutely awful. There is no quality on show anywhere on the pitch, and even less drive or determination.
Apart from Molyneux, surely? He’s the one looking dangerous..
-
Time to unleash the Max power........?
-
Time to unleash the Max power........?
Why not.. he must be a bit of an unknown quantity to the opposition. Give the lad a chance, can’t be any worse..
-

Clayton has been shocking for the last month. Biggins just plays i back, Seaman is non league standard. Only Molyneux came away there with any credit. Sort it out GM!!
I agree, if any other player had played like Clayton for a month they would of been dropped
-
Molyneux is looking decent tonight.
Two good shots, one saved and one hitting the post.
He reminds me of McIndoe the way he moves with the ball.
Behave yourself hound.
-
With the changes and the weather this was likely to be a scrappy affair. And that's the thing, we have to be prepared to scrap.
Would deffo take a point before the match. Nothings changed.
-
Agard and Long on, Seaman and Maxwell off
-
The number of times that you see Mitchell safe possession going straight to the opposition, he really needs to work on distribution, he is awful at it.
-
Molinux in to left back , wow I give up
-
Molyneux our biggest threat first half and now he is playing wing back?
-
Umerah is tearing us apart
-
Got what we deserved, which tram hasn’t won for 20 games?
Which team is bottom of the division.
Currently Rochdale.....
Ha, yeah, I forgot about that mate. well nearly bottom.
-
Awful football. Time to go.
-
Might do a bit better if we kept the ball on the deck a bit..
-
A goal down we should have come out all guns blazing, but no, we are still hitting aimless balls forward in the hope something comes off, oh & still secondto every loose ball.
-
It’s making me feel physically sick watch such a spineless display, Please GM just do one we need a new direction and fresh ideas
-
It is starting to feel like this could be a season of 'might have been's'. Despite having some undoubtedly good players we continue to play without intelligence and without learning. That, to me, is a serious warning sign.
BobG
Agreed Bob.
I’m at the point where I am starting not to care about Rovers anymore. After nearly 50 years supporting my team, I find myself thinking there are better ways of spending my time and energy.
It’s probably a phase I’m going through but… very deflating.
-
1:1
-
1-1
-
Faulkner!!!!!
-
Nobody bothered to comment on the decent play to create a good chance for Agard.?
By all means criticise when due, but don’t ignore the good stuff when it happens..
We are still in the game FFs..
Get in Faulkner.!!!!
-
What a hit Bobby … and no more than you deserve.
-
Much more in it with 2 up top
-
Great finish from the young lad.. now to go up a gear and win this game..
-
Rate finish from Bobby that.
-
There has been a more positive attitude since Agard and Long came on. Faulkner's goal was a bit out of the blue.
-
Like I was saying, we are much better with two up top.
Great hit by Bobby.
We can go on and win this now.
-
Get the f**k in! Great finish.
-
It’s looked better when we have played it on the floor, gone 2 up top but also the Hartlepool changes have helped because they aren’t pressing as much
-
There has been a more positive attitude since Agard and Long came on. Faulkner's goal was a bit out of the blue.
We did have a good spell just before it
-
Curle doing us a favour taking Umerah off
-
Getting shots on target now.
-
This is not a good division. If we were half on it we'd comfortably beat teams like this. The fact we're not is getting really irritating. Got belief we'll win this now but only because they are poor
-
Better since the goal.
-
Great ball from Clayton. More like it from him in the past 10 mins.
-
Pools have taken off 4 forward players, are they now trying to play out for the draw,?
-
No
-
2-1
-
Arseflaps…
-
They’re all over us again
-
Jesus H Christ. Shite
-
He has made us terrible. We'll get a win here and there so he won't get sacked for a while but we just are so much worse than we should be.
Dickov mark 2
-
Better since the goal.
As soon as I posted this we reverted to usual. f**king hell
-
Biggins is garbage
-
Biggins showing that he isn’t a regular fullback.
-
Deja Vu from 2017
-
That was shocking defending
-
Would not have been a goal if Knoyle wasn't injured
-
We are so bad defensively. Almost every team we play against, good or bad, just peppers our goal all game.
-
Tactically inept
-
He has to go. People from the outside might think it harsh but for the sake of our season he can't keep on producing this level of performance.
Copps has had all season to come up with a plan b which after last season it was always going to be a realistic possibility we'd need. Move quick and we can still have a really good season
-
Reo Griffiths not won one ball night.
-
We are getting what we deserve - absolutely nothing. We’ve been shocking for the majority of this game. This tactic of hoofing the ball long all the time is ridiculous, when we can’t win a header. I am getting increasingly disenchanted watching this crap week in week out and I bet I’m not the only one.
-
f**ksocks..
-
Reo Griffiths not won one ball night.
And I’ll predict he won’t score a goal in the next three months.
-
|Poor game, no real direction in the team, nobody took charge in midfield, and so they had too many clear runs on goal.
-
f**king awful!
Griffiths may as well have been sat on settee next to me for what he contributed!
-
Going to be a long drive home. Dreadful football. Again
-
Apart from that 15 minute spell before we scored that was yet another totally clueless performance.
-
GM get out of are club we are going backwards
-
Taxi for McSheffrey.
-

When they win it never looks decisive, too much inaccuracy of passing, too slow in the build up, making it hard for themselves.
-
I’m not normally one for saying the manager should go but enough is enough, he isn’t learning, the performances (if you can call them that) are dire but there are zero tactics, plan or cohesion, he’s had plenty enough time to have started looking like he has a plan
-
The performances and style of play are just awful. I don't enjoy watching us at all, it's just unbearably frustrating. We should be much, much better. The manager is responsible for all of that.
-
Got what we deserved. We looked like the bottom side and with some of the players we have difficult to see how we can improve. Certain someone will say we have players injured and will different when they come back. Time will tell.
-
Thing is I'm just not surprised anymore, it's been the same most of the season. Hands up anyone who has been watching a side who has ambitions of chasing at least a play off place for the majority of the games this season, I know I haven't.
-
Those games we won in extra time, we looked fit and were playing for each other, McSheffrey then started calling players out in the press and we’ve looked lethargic ever since, I’d he losing the dressing room?
