I was going to post this in the Ukraine thread, but as that is mostly full of rubbish these days I thought people may miss it and it is worth it's own thread.
Whilst Foreign Secretary, Lizz Truss' personal phone was hacked by Russian hackers, who had access to it, all the calls and messages, for around a year. The messages included highly sensitive information about the war in Ukraine.
When the hack was discovered in June this year, Johnson and the Cabinet Secretary, Simon Case, covered it up to avoid embarrasment (presumably to them and Truss).
Why was Truss using her personal phone for government business? How could a hack of it go un-noticed for a year (do we not check these things, are we so lapse with government security) did it put lives in danger, and did the 4 month cover up put further lives in danger?

Now also in the Mirror for those of you who boycott the Daily/Sunday Heil:

It's hardly credible after all the phone hacking going on before, what makes it credible is the tory party
-
Thanks Boris. If you hadn't have covered it up, she wouldn't have been elected to put the country further in the shit.

Dodged a bullet in 2019, eh?
I mean. We might have elected a Government that totally f**ked the economy and was a security threat through Kremlin infiltration.
Phew...

Corbyn would probably want to send the phone to Russia and take their word as to whether it was them.

I highlighted the most important of your words cbx, funny how someone never in power is still getting all the blame aye?
whereas johnson as mayor of london and pm celebrated having the capital renamed londongrad and as we also know didn't want anyone looking into moscow's interference in uk politics. Hope this helps with your understanding of the russian - uk connections.

I wonder why the Russian Report was never released?

Johnson attended a party at a (former) KGB agents' mansion without his security detail.
Braverman sends offical sensitive documents to her personal email account - then onto people not authorised to recieve them.
Truss used her own phone for sensitive government business and then, in the middle of a war, a Russian hack of this was covered up - possibly putting lives at risk.
But Corbyn....

BST raised the choice we had in 2019. My point (while slightly tongue in cheek) was about how awful both of the potential PMs at that time were.
