Oops. Apologies. I didn't mean to attach it twice. I can't delete the topic to start again so I think it's here for keeps. Sorry again.

A punctuation pedant suggests that the sentence is grammatically correct: A person known as BJ sells sweets and tobacco.
Correct use of apostrophes is so important.

It gets darker.

He's a Tobacconist so that goes with the  tobacco.

He's a Confectioner, so that goes with the spice.

I assume the "Specialist" goes with the BJ's? The mind boggles.

A true pedant would suggest that BJ owns the sweets and tobacco.

Of course he does. Otherwise they wouldn’t be his to sell.

Reminds me of the famous and well established spirits and liqueur chain in the Netherlands called Wijnand Fokkink

I often wondered who was the first cobbler to think ‘ Do you know what? I need to increase my takings, as shoe repairs aren’t a regular purchase. I know, I’ll offer a Key Cutting service. That’ll drag punters in’.
Why didn’t he just start selling fags, booze and newspapers?

OMG and this has just flashed into my brain.
What if it wasn’t a cobbler who offered Key Cutting services?
What if it was a Key Cutter who decided to offer, erm, Cobbling services to drag folk through the door??
This changes everything.

Shouldn't it be tabaccos or even tabaccoes, surely more than one type is sold?
