Seems this pair are about to plumb new depths with the upcoming release of their newest media sensation. A couple who went to the US to get out of public spotlight are about to air their dirty laundry in front of 8 billion people.
What gets me is Harry has grown up hating the media for what they did to his mother. And yet, here is a bloke who is now using his mothers image and story via the media to not only line his pocket, but drive a very large stake into his own family. Our Monarchy. Surely this has to be one of the biggest hypocrises in history.
I hope Charles strips him and his gold digging wife of everything they have left royalty wise.
-
He’s playing his family to benefit himself
No time for him. He will make money and it’ll be down to the people that have nothing better to do than watch it
-
The rumours must be true he isn't a Windsor and has no loyalty to them.
-
Mrs Toes is convinced that Harry is the son of that soldier bloke his mam was shagging.
Me? I don't give a f***.
-
If they called him by his proper name Harry Hewitt he'd get mixed up with that bloke who used to be in Coronation Street.
-
Amazes me how the people who say they care least about Harry and Megan are the ones who talk about them the most.
-
See i get the impression that you are all seeing it from the wrong perspective,
The Royal Family knew they were in for a tough ride when the Queen finally passed on, its been public knowledge that Charles was always going to be a marmite figure with the majority in the negative ledger. They needed to do something and the needed it now, they always say that publicity of any description is always good PR and it would not surprise me in the least that this charade was designed and choreographed in the annals of Windsor itself,
It all drops into place when you think about it, the very weak he said she said tales, the scramble to get to the papers first with stories and counter stories, the big set piece tell all that tells you nothing, and now biographies and Netflix exclusives that just wet the surface and don't do any lasting damage whatsoever. its also telling that they allowed the two "miscreants" to keep their Royal Titles. They knew they had big boots to fill and needed to stay relevant before the republican bandwagon got off the starting block.
Put up job of the highest order, The MSM and the RF are in cahoots here big time.
-
Danum you’ll be telling us next you've seen Elvis in your local chippie
-
If Charlie ‘cops it’ within the next 10 years, the Monarchy may well survive. But only because William is the next in line.
Ten or more years of Charlie & his ‘Queen Cohort….I mean Consort’ & the Monarchy will at last be seen to be as out of touch & have as much relevance to or with the British people as it did in the 80’s.
-
Just one thing I'd like to clear up - the people telling us in the media that the accusations that the Palace leaked and planted stories against the Sussexes are lies...would that happen to be the rather large Palace Media Department?
-

Not everyone thinks the same

Megan has a child with Harry
Megan has another child with Harry
Megan and moves to America with Harry
Megan divorces Harry

Draytonian. I can also see that outcome. I just hope if it does happens that there’s no way back for him.
For me he’s burnt his bridges and has made his bed so he can lie in it
-
To my knowledge Harry has not been unfaithful to Megan or sought a divorce with her.
Can the same be said for Charlie, Anne, Andrew & the dear departed ‘Phil the Greek’?

The wall to wall news coverage of this is ridiculous. Do many people really care?

I don't follow the shenanigans of the Royal Family but a thought comes to mind here.
Why doesn't your analysis (minus the America bit) apply to Kate Middleton?
-
Because Kate Middleton doesn't behave like a wrecking ball, perhaps?
-
Because Kate Middleton doesn't behave like a wrecking ball, perhaps?
I don't know what that means. Most of the above could be used to describe Diana's relationship with Charles. Did she behave like a wrecking ball?
I'm not massively interested in the Royal Family. They appear to be more dysfunctional than most and I've never understood what it is about them we are supposed to admire.
But I'm fascinated by the response of sections of our society that want to reserve special bile for Markle.

And the Royals are so ‘in touch’ with the British people as the late queens lady-in-waiting for 60 of her 83 years (Lady Hussy, Godmother to William) recently showed when she met Ngozi Fulani at Buckingham Palace recently.
LH approached NF, reached up & moved NF’s hair locks to one side so she could look at her name badge.
LH. “Where are you from?”.
NF. “Sistah Space”. (An organisation that helps black African & Caribbean women who have suffered sexual or physical abuse).
LH. “No, where do you come from?”.
NF. “We’re based in Hackney”.
LH. “No, what part of Africa are you from?”.
NF. “I don’t know, they didn’t leave any records”. (Her parents were part of the ‘Windrush Project’.)
LH. “Well, you must know where you’re from, I spent time in France. Where are you from?”.
NF. “Here in the UK”.
LH. “No, but what nationality are you?”.
NF. “I am born here and am British”.
LH. “No, but where do you really come from, where do your people come from?”.
NF. “MY people. Lady what is this?”.
LH. “Oh, I can see I am going to have a challenge getting you to say where you are from. When did you first come here?”.
NF. “Lady! I am a British National, my parents came here in the 50’s when…..”
LH. “Oh, I knew we’d get there in the end, you’re Caribbean!”.
NF. “No lady, I am of African heritage, Caribbean descent and British nationality”.
LH. “Oh, so you’re from…..”
She then moved down the line & approached a Rovers Supporter wearing a flat cap & sporting a Viking badge in his lapel. She stepped forward & lifted his flat cap up to see if he was bald.
LH. “Are you Northern?”.
RS. “I’m sorry?”.
LH. “Are you from Watford?”.
RS. “No (smiling). Further North than Watford”.
LH. “Oh, Scotland. I thought as much. Why aren’t you wearing your kilt?”.
RS. “No, no, not Scotland. Further South than that”. (A twinkle now in his eye as he warmed to this delving into the geographical co-ordinates of his ‘home town’).
LH. “Ah, now I have it! Which part of Wales are you from?”.
RS. “No lady. I’m not Scottish or Welsh, I’m English”.
LH “Surely not! (as she clutched her hand bag to her chest), But I can barely understand a word you say! Where are your people from?”.
RS. “People? My mum was from a village near Newcastle & my dad was from Doncaster, which is where I was born.
LH. “So you’re from the Scottish Borders then! I knew we’d get there eventually! I went to Fife once”.
RS. “East Fife five, Forfar four”.
LH. “And you can speak Gaelic too, how charming! Toodle pip”.

I tell you what though, that Fulani woman has one hell of a memory

I think, as the voiceover on their trailer says “It’s about race” is just a deflection for her destructive and attention-seeking behaviour.
This is also very strange - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-63837131.amp
Why would they be so misleading?
She should be more respectful as someone coming in from another country. That would be a given and fair criticism in any other country. But as soon as it’s the UK pushing back it’s “racism”. Her p*ss take curtsy for the late Queen in this documentary for example.
That being said, the obsession from pundits such as Piers Morgan and Dan Wootton is way over the top. Meghan has a point with people like that.

A deeply unpleasant narcissist I'd say. Best ignored except....
She's making seemingly baseless claims against the Royal family whose head is our Head of State.
Hence she is undermining our constitution.
Hence she is undermining our country within the US - our most important ally and biggest trading partner.
All for personal gain (and more attention).
So yes there is importance in calling her and her husband out for their behaviour.

Making baseless claims about the Head of State undermines the constitution? Yet the head of state paying the compensation for a family member found guilty of sex with an underage girl, whilst avoiding paying the tax that all the rest of us 'sujects' do, doesn't?
Funny old world.

Jeremy Clarkson eh?
Imagine waking up every morning, looking in the mirror and seeing the face of a man who has contributed f**k all to the human race but the sort of shite he's written about Markle today.
What a contemptible piece of excrement that man is.
-
Surely just a coincidence that Clarkson wrote his piece three days after having lunch with Queen Camilla.

BST, would you describe a forum member with such venom in your pursuit of provoking an argument, or would you draw the line at that, and just spread your hatred for people who don't frequent the forum and thus can't defend themselves?

Even his daughter has disowned him I see.
I doubt there is anyone on here who would defend him or attempt to deflect away from his comments by attacking the person who posted about them - oh hang on...
-
I never doubted you'd defend BST either. Just another 3 fingers to go!
-
you should cut back a bit
-
Can someone explain where this anti-meghan rubbish came from, is it the palace leaking shite to the media, the media picking up anti-meghan vibes from the population or the media making it up to sell clicks, or something else?
Supplementary question: are all those that have a relationship with someone more wealthy than themselves classed as gold-diggers?
-
I don’t like Clarkson, but after Billy’s nasty tirade I think I’ll give him another chance.
Is an anti-influencer a thing?
Billy will probably now, as ever, accuse me of misrepresenting his words when he wrote ‘what a contemptible piece of excrement that man is’.

BST is consumed in his own self-righteous sanctimony. If his hero, the equally morally superior Oxbridge bully boy Stewart Lee had made those remarks he would have at worst praised him, or at best said f**k all.

I might have to rethink that one too.

I really shouldn't need to explain this, but since you're in one of your "needing attention" moods...
Stewart Lee has a brilliant 15 minute routine the core of which is him saying he wishes Richard Hammond had been decapitated in that car crash, and that he hopes Jeremy Clarkson's three daughters all go blind. Watch it. It is absolute comedy genius.
https://youtu.be/K7CnMQ4L9Pc
At the end, he addresses the camera and explains patiently, for the benefit of people like you BB, that of course he doesn't actually wish those things. He's using the method and implied values of Clarkson, to satirise the methods and implied values of Clarkson.
I wonder how Clarkson would explain his comedic approach?
-
It'd be a waste of time for him to explain to the likes of me at the end of his show why he claims legitimacy for being a piece of shit because he was copying a piece of shit.
I and people like me would have f**ked off long ago.
-
This is really quite sad.
You actually think he's "copying" Clarkson.
I genuinely feel sorry for you. Too bitter to rise above your own prejudices.
-
He's copying Clarkson's method and implied values, isn't he?
You've been conned Billy lad.
-
In order to satirise them BB. In order to satirise them
The point of the sketch is to show, through holding up a mirror, what Kitsond Clarkson and Hammond are.
As Clarkson had once again demonstrated this weekend.
-
So he's copying Clarkson in order to satirise him?
......And to earn a living out of it in the process!
What a contemptible, unoriginal piece of excrement Stewart Lee is.
-
Jesus. It's impossible.
Are you TRULY saying you don't see the difference between a person who uses abusive methods to make people laugh about "slopes" or "niggers", and someone who copies the abusive methods to point out how disgusting the person who uses the abusive methods is?
I genuinely hope you're in one of your "I'm going to have an argument no matter what" moods here, because if you're not, you're more bitter and twisted than I ever realised.
-
It's impossible because you're fundamentally wrong.
His lack of comedic talent is replaced by his ability to con gullible people to think laughing at him renders them super smart intellects. Like you.

The satarist is a piece of excrement. But the person being satired for saying exactly the same - or worse - isn't.
So much for free speech. More woke snowflake cancel culture.
-
No apology but he now says it was a bad reference to Game of Thrones presumably when Cersei has to walk naked through the crowd as a penitence
In the Game of Thrones series finale, Cersei was forced to walk naked through the streets of Kings Landing as the screaming, hostile crowd threw food and the contents of their chamber pots at her.
Why that has anything to do with Megs is beyond me

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. I assume it's Billy's opinion also, although in that case why should you, or he, condemn 70's TV programmes such as Love Thy Neighbour, Mind Your Language, and Till Death Do Us Part, etc, in snowflake fashion when they were clearly satirical of real life?
-
Not really sure why anyone on here would get their frillies in a twist over anything that comes out of the orifice that Clarkson spouts from.
Pretty much common knowledge that this individual will use any topic, especially a current one, debase it to its lowest common denominator, and throw in some personal insults for good measure, he's done this for years on very many topics, even such about our football club.
If this bloke had to write a subjective piece about anything it would defeat him, everyone knows this, made a career out of just such drivel.
The fact that certain posters have made such a song and dance about this just fuels his ever degrading nature and gives him the exact response he wished for. Most know its just cak and let it fester into the ether.

A deeply unpleasant controversialist I'd say. Best ignored except....
He's making deliberately misogynist comments encouraging degradation, humiliation and violence towards women. Amongst those stupid enough to take his comments seriously at least.
All for personal gain (and more attention).

Clarkson embarrasses supporters by issuing apology
Did he? That was the most unapologetic apology I've ever seen. "Sorry for people not getting that I was referring to GoT when I said I hated a woman more than Rose West."

Clarkson further embarrasses fan base as apology turns out to be disingenuous
-
yet further embarrassment for clarkson fans plus any that don't like responsibility with their free speech and or maybe any that pick on women for no good reason.
''More than 60 cross-party MPs wrote to the newspaper’s editor, Victoria Newton, to demand an apology and “action taken” against Clarkson over the column in which he stated that Meghan should be paraded through the streets naked.
The Sun said in a statement released on Friday evening: “Columnists’ opinions are their own, but as a publisher, we realise that with free expression comes responsibility.

He has to sell around 1.7 million copies to break even.
Sadly, he will probably do this because of those people who simply must read his account of the truth. And they will never know the actual truth.

From the Guardian article
Harry recounts an anguished meeting with Charles and William after the Windsor Castle funeral of Prince Phillip, the queen’s husband, in April 2021.
Charles, he says, stood between his warring sons, “looking up at our flushed faces”.
“Please, boys,” Harry quotes his father as saying. “Don’t make my final years a misery.”
As someone who values privacy as much as Harry, this is very strange to tell the world about such a personal moment? Likely without Charles’ permission.

The bloke has lost his honour. His code. The stuff that should have been deeply entrenched within him during his spell in the military. He has lost his own self respect. And with that, you lose everything.

There are far more important things happening that affect each and every one of us!

I’m with you to an extent Kato.
But his behaviour isn’t too much out of kilter to those who have dominated the global political stage over recent years. Putin. Trump. Kim jong un, Johnson, to name but a few. He may not be a dictator, or responsible for actual wars. But his actions are causing conflict and driving millions of people who embraced him to turn. It may only be family politics, but it’s the British Royal Family politics. Which means the world takes notice wether we like it or agree with it, or not.
Blind narcissism. A complete lack of guilt for their actions. Blind faith that they are right and everyone else is wrong.
And like trump, Harry is making money out of it.
He was a figurehead, a role model at the very highest level. The world at his feet. The ability to use his influence globally to do good. Like his mother did. Like his grandmother did.
Instead he has chosen to create division and conflict. That will be his legacy.

Killed 25 people during his time in Afghan apparently:

Never served in the Army but I work with many who have in Afghan & Iraq. Best not to be glib or offensive over what you think they should be like after seeing and doing what they did.

Wilts, I don't consider what I wrote to be offensive and my remark was in no way connected to what he may or may not have done on the battlefield.

Both narcissists.

Wilts, I don't consider what I wrote to be offensive and my remark was in no way connected to what he may or may not have done on the battlefield.
But his actions in that incident (and for the rest of his life) will have been.
You may wish to consider your comments about how you think former members of the military should act when confronted with a civilian agressor and what their former colleagues might think about it.
But if you believe an ex-member of the forces refusing a fight is 'toe curlingly cringworthy' & calling a veteran that is not offensive, then that's your perogative. Most I know did enough fighting to last a lifetime.
-
I do wonder how much of this narrative Harry is pushing is driven by his wonderful wife?
About 100%. No grown man would tell the world about such an instance in which his brother delivered cold hard truths about his wife and then physically overpowered him.

Out of all the recent revelations, the one about killing Islamic fighters is probably the most potentially damaging for him and his family.
Those of us who have served don’t talk about killing. It’s the code. But for him, of all people to do it in front of a global audience is utterly insane.
He has single handed lay painted a target on his back. A very large one.
He now lives in a country despised by IS.
And given his status he has probably made himself a very viable target, if he want one already.
He had better spend some of that hard earned cash on security. I get a feeling he will need it even more now than before.
-
As has just been mentioned are there any adults around him advising him?
-
Some spares use women of a questionable standard to work out their frustrations
Others marry them, each to their own.

I can imagine that if the Taliban do manage to get to Harry, they will go on Twitter with the heading “Checkmate”.
I’m amazed that he has said what he has about the killings, he might as well have stuck a target on his own back.

The Taliban have not hesitated in their response. They do not appreciate being de humanised as chess pieces. Although they do respect his admission of what they describe as war crimes . Ex top level Army staff have already criticised his comments on this.
You are agreeing with the Taliban? Errr...OK...
What do you think about the British far-right plotting to kill a UK veteran btw?
At which point have I agreed with the Taliban? Merely stating their documented response

That's why there is a question mark, it's a question. Do you agree with the Taliban?
And what do you think of the British far-right plots to kill a UK veteran?

Harry has dug his own hole here. I think it’s quite erroneous to imply that anyone that is calling him and Meghan out is fuelling the far-right.
They are their own deranged species.
-
Harry has been damaged goods for a very long time, the very last thing he needed in his life was the type of person he ended up with.
Mental health issues can be very easy to diagnose but very challenging to successfully treat.
Ive never been a royalist but i do feel for the bloke, he's storing up a mountain of hurt that will come back to really damage him.
-
My personal view is that Harry 'Huckwitt' has done this to get his personal protection back!
I think the Palace needs to release the details of his true father and be done with him!
-
And so, Harry now comes out and says he never meant to Hurt his family by disclosing his memoirs.
Reality sinking in me thinks.
What on earth did he think would happen?
Damage done.

Harry interview in a nutshell: the royal family are so scared of the media they regularly chucked Harry & Meghan under the bus, so they would look good by comparison. And now - given that quitting & moving to the US didn't stop it - he feels he has nothing to lose by revealing it.

Harry Interview in a nutshell. He is a spoilt brat with levels of privilege many would only dream of. He has family struggles like every family member does. He then married a toxic person who is from a land where blame culture thrives. The rest you know.

She’s estranged from her own family and now she’s making sure he is the same with his family, she’s got a hold of him now she has the kids to use against him

I get the impression that they now desperately require the RF to answer back on the allegations made, to not get this buy in from the RF makes the whole business model defunct.
What are they going to do now, all the tittle tattle is out of the bag, try to create/invent some more scraps to throw to the wolves in the press and media?
Methinks ginge and winge are not as bright as they think they are.
Tomorrows chip paper.

If there is a meeting I hope what I say to my brother and father remains private !!!!
-
Harry does a lot of work with and for veterans. So I was somewhat alarmed to see that the house they used to film the Netflix series is owned by a certain Mark Schulhof. This chap was charged in the US for scamming over $100 million from a disabled veterans charity.
Oh dear.
Some obvious back peddling now about his comments regarding killing 25 taliban. Wether he has been judged to boast about this or not is irrelevant. He should have never have spoken about such in a global book release. What a whopper. He now thinks the press have twisted his story and put him at risk. So easy to blame others when the blame lands at your own feet.
-
It's also a bit weird that there's basic inaccuracies in his stories. Supposedly he describes getting an Xbox from his mum (she died years before they existed) and was in a completely different country than he mentions about his great grandmother dying. That's all a bit weird, you don't forget those things.
-
The bloke has MH issues and needs help. What he doesn’t need is more global
Media attention . But that’s what you get when you marry a toxic narcissist who craves attention and wealth.
-
Every person who I’ve ever met who’s served in any branch of the armed services, and no doubt there’s some of you on here, has never said what they did especially in conflict. They will tell you about being stationed in different parts of the world and places they been to, and bars they’ve visited !!

My Father in law served in Burma, he would never talk about the fighting except in a couple of instances, when they advanced and approached a crossroads where the dead Japanese were piled high as he described it. The only other instance was when they were on patrol in high bush/bamboo and he came face to face with a Japanese, they both froze and the officer just behind him shot the said Japanese
He would only talk freely about what he called the good times the football, the off time and the instance he called a sergeant Mate. The reponse was Mate! Mate! What do you think these are pointing to the 3 stripes on his arm
My favourite story was when he held the naafi door open and everyone piled in, by the time he got in the snap was gone, never again he said, after that
He refused his Burma Star, you don't get medals for doing what we did was his comment
-
Yes absolutely disgraceful that Harry is only now talking about his service. Otherwise we would never know what he had done (newspaper front pages from January 2013)

Amazing what certain people in the media have forgotten they used to say.

PS. Look at the Tweet that the one I posted here is replying to.
Piers Morgan lecturing someone on reckless talk about stuff happening in theatre.
I know! THAT Piers Morgan!

More and more holes appearing in Harry’s “truth.”
Claims his great grandfather x6 was HenryVI. Odd that given that his only child was killed in the war of the roses. Add the Xbox fabrication and it makes you wonder just how much of his memoirs are accurate .

Not so long ago, you were lecturing everyone about how it didn’t matter that Cummings was a cretin - if he stated facts, we should listen.
Aren’t all cretins equal?

NR.
You're being led by the nose by the papers mate.
Go and read the actual passage from the book. It's clearly a throwaway comment about the fact that he, as a kid, was aware that he (apparently) came from a long line of royals. It's not a "claim".
If the Express and Mail reporters wanted to be proper investigative reporters, they could point out that Harry's Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather takes you back 8 generations, to George III, who lived 1738-1820. Henry VI was 11 generations further back and died in 1471.
Look at it in that light and it's clearly an unserious, throwaway comment by Harry about his school days.
"We (kids at Eton) were supposed to be in perpetual mourning for old Henry VI (who had founded Eton)...But although Henry was my Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather, and I was sorry for his passing and whatever pain it had caused those who loved him, I wasn't keen on mourning the man around the clock."
It's embarrassing to insist that is some sort of claim of genealogical accuracy.
But of course, the bloodhounds at the Mail and Express have been tasked by their Editors to do what they do - find some angle to wind up those who want to be wound up. I figured you were above that sort of manipulation.
-
And even this topic gets turned into political argument, just for once BST comment the topic nothing else
-
Draytonian
I genuinely don't get what you are on about.
How on earth are you supposed to "comment the topic and nothing else" without acknowledging that the entire Prince Harry Show is a media construct? And how are you supposed to "comment the topic and nothing else" when "the topic" is being played by the media in order to wind up the gullible, and make money for the Express, Mail, Sun and Mirror?
Or, to put it another way.
Why is it "turning the topic into a political argument" to point out that several papers are publishing utter b*llocks on the topic? But it's not "turning the topic into a political argument" to repeat the utter b*llocks that they published?

Harry now claims he had enough material for two books but kept a lot out for fear his brother and father would never forgive him if he told all.
I’ve got news for you Harry. I reckon you have already burnt your family bridges. Big time.
