HaHa. Where did you dig that one up from?
Not bad condition for a 60 year old article.

A work colleague was having some extensive work done on his house in Harrogate, and during the works they had to remove a door frame and it was found there. It's dated Friday June 7th 1963.

It's actually very, very interesting reading the news issues of the day. I can just barely remember some of them, especially the Profumo scandal!

Get Garnett out ! He's only interested in Club Doncaster not the Rovers.

Lovely bit of history that.

The irony is that it probably also reflected what many First Division players would have been on at the time.

How times have changed!

That's how I think players should be paid now, with incentive bonuses for success and not just a salary no matter how well they perform.

When I was doing up my old Vw camper I found several old German newspapers padding out the door cards. When it was finished I put them all back for the new owner or the one after him to find them. Part of the vans history that I thought should stay with it.
