Passed away, aged 78.
RIP

Very sad, way too soon!
My favourite guitarist of all time, a class or two above everyone else I know, and from everything I've seen, a really top friendly bloke. Huge loss for music.

Another Guitar great gone too soon, it wasn’t that long ago he was performing with Johnny Dep, RIP Jeff

RIP Jeff Beck

A proper genius. RIP Jeff
-
Friend of mine worked with him for years as a roadie. Jeff came to his wedding. Great down to earth bloke.

I remember doing my Dad's head in jumping up to radio to put volume up on Over Under Sideways Down by Yardbirds each time it came on !
It was in my head the whole time , obsessed with it. I tried a few years back to find it on line but failed
I wanted to see why I liked it so much then with Jeff Beck rip yesterday I thought about it again this morning. I think he joined just before they released it. Found it straight away
Mmmmm very Moroccan feel and I can see why my Dad thought I was "round the bend" now
A mate of mine was at Uni in London and had a mate who supported Scarborough FC . Malcolm Thompson was their CF at the time and the mate never stopped singing
" Hi Ho Malcolm Thompson , everywhere you go there's aggro" ..... and there was more I can't remember that ended " playing for Scarborough FC "
So Jeff Beck will be happy to have laid down that classic
Happy days

If thats the case Eric Clapton would have been the guitarist on the recording, big boots to fill but Beck filled them, Beck, Clapton and Page, the Yardbirds had the very best of the best with guitar players

If anyone has time to listen, search YouTube for Jeff Beck Nesan Dorma.
Really brilliant and does bring a tear to the eyes.

The voices of Angels will find it hard to compete with the chorus of "Hi Ho Silver Lining"; (or Hi Ho Donny Rovers).
RIP Jeff.

RIP paved the way for so many guitarists that followed
