Damn. Gives us a bit more time to get players through the door at least.
-
Gives some time for Todd miller to integrate himself I suppose
-
Doh, nobody thought to put the covers on.
-
Baldwins fault?
-
It was dry down here yesterday and had been since Thursday evening. The rain has been falling this morning but not particularly heavy and is forecast to stop by 11:00am. I’m totally surprised the game has gone.

Crawley obviously are scared to death of us after being beaten 4-1 at the Eco. ;)
They may have some injuries. Probably have had the sprinklers on the pitch all night just to make sure it’s waterlogged.
-
Good news for us. They appointed a new manager this week and it gives us some more time to make some signings
-
Quite a few Rovers fans getting the 0810 train this morning will pretty peed off!!
-
Not ideal. Will be another match rearranged for a Tuesday night I presume.
-
I know it's still early , but as it stands our game is the only one in the top 6 tiers of football called off because of a water logged pitch , it just doesn't add up.

Pitch looks dreadful on Photos posted on Twitter etc
However I did say Coach wouldn't get to Leicester Forest because Crawley would feel obliged to make Ref make early call to save us making long journey
The forecast on BBC and elsewhere was for rain till 1500 but on other forecasts it was 9 till 11 so Crawley would be damned if they called off at 8 45 and damned if they waited till 2
They didn't have the opportunity to see when the rain did stop unfortunately
What a bugger and now no doubt another Tuesday fixture
-
We’ve only got two Tuesday games until the end of March, so plenty of options available.

There will be pitch inspections as the morning goes on. I’ve no doubt others will fall too. At least this one was called early.
-
Cambridge game off.
Weymouth too.
More to come no doubt.
-
I bought a ticket for the match but due to circumstances I was going be unable to go so I should be able to get my money back now.
-
Cambridge game off.
Weymouth too.
More to come no doubt.
Cambridge was called off yesterday because of Structural damage to the stand roof.
Weymouth have called off their home game because they are playing away at
Chippenham Town.
-
Kettering v Boston now off - water logged pitch.
-
Rather it's called off early, Weston anybody? half hour or so before kickoff
-
I'm in Crawley and there's been heavy rain all night and it's still raining. The ground is totally saturated so not surprising really.
-
How far did everyone get ?

Been a lot of rain and flooding in Wiltshire this week, plus more this morning. Still flood alerts around Chippenham. They have done well to get that on.
Corsham Town next door have a big FA Vase game today - and that's still on as well.
-
How far did everyone get ?
20 minutes south of Leicester.
-
Is the hosepipe ban still on

And both of these were called off.

Remember heading to Cheltenham not too many years ago when game called off for frozen pitch. Ended up going to watch kiddy play in the cup at the Ricoh. As we were in the cov area when the game was pulled.
-
Blessing in disguise! We might get a replacement in before the next game.
-
Is the hosepipe ban still on
No, it was lifted a couple of weeks back.
-
I’m surprised Charlton haven’t had their swimming pool open today
-
Gate at Gillingham today 2.003 surely that can’t be right can it?
Was the weather that bad down there that no one turned up?
They ave about 4.500 I think this season so that seems exceptionally low especially as they have new owners now to give them some hope.

Fair chance the gate was lowered by the entire away support being blown into the Medway five minutes in.

-
Gillingham gate today was 6003 which included 255 Hartlepool United fans.

Fair play to the pool supporters.
Long trek on a pretty grim day weather wise.
And they have had the joy of that away end.
-
Five hours each way either by car or train. Ten hours in total. No goals.

Said 2003 on BBC sport web site. Obviously they miss printed the figure.
Hardy lot those Pools fans. Credit to them travelling all that way when they are 23rd in the league.
-
How far did everyone get ?
I predicted no further than Leicester F E but we were approaching Woodall Sercices 8 46 when we got to know so Coach turned round at next Junction
-
Well I’m still in Dartford having planned a weekend down here

Pretty sure that they put the Poolies in the side stand today under cover.

They will have done. Every time I've been there and the weather has been naff, they've closed the scaffold end.

There was one game some years ago we played at Priestfield and it was very wet. The Stewards came round with those transparent mack’s or whatever you call them. They wouldn’t move us under cover
Same thing happened at the Withdean where Brighton played before the new stadium was opened. The whole ground was open of course.
Also happened at Saltergate one year

Remember Mansfield away. Torrential rain all game. Open terrace. Think we lost 4-0 but we sang well

If we are talking about the same game, I remember going there for FA Cup first round in November 1995 under Sammy Chung when we lost 4-2 and it absolutely pissed it down on that terrace from start to finish.
