Title: Every day is a school day
Post by: roversdude on January 29, 2023, 11:57:45 am
Didn’t know until yesterday that if a foul draws a booking the injured player doesn’t need to go off after treatment

Yellow cards at Mansfield were sponsored by the NHS on their big screen.

We noticed thar as well when quinn got hacked down by your number 4. Red card?? But despite quinn clearly receiving attention he didn't go off and went on to play. Strange. Unless the rules have changed.

Aren't the rules so unnecessarily complicated now?

To be honest I was expecting a red especially with the home players surrounding the ref.
Someone in front of me mentioned that injured players don’t have to go off if it’s a booking!
By the way how did Reed stop on, should have been booked for his petulance and then got a no arguments booking minutes later

So we are in possesion, the ref stops play for treatment for their player, and they get the uncontested drop ball. How does that work?

Yes some strange decisions.  Thought he was going to give you guys a penalty but I could not tell if it was one or not.  I would say he was a good ref but we did win 4.1

it depends how long the player is down, any amount of time he is attended to then he has to leave the field

Didn’t happen yesterday despite the physio coming on.

By the way how often was the Mansfield 44(?) treated on the pitch, if it was for the same ailment I think the physio needs to be questioned

like I said it depends how long he is receiving treatment for if it’s not too long then they are allowed to stay on it’s just down to the referee how long, for me if a player is cautioned then they should be allowed to stay on
