I've had enough of this now.
I've started staying at home, the first time in 40 years.
The club is heading for non league , simple as.
Might aswell give up and just wait for us to drop then hopefully the fans can do something about it again.
Heart wrenching.

I’d urge anyone who hasn’t done it before to go and spend a day/ evening in the Legends Lounge. Professionally run. Nice atmosphere, and a side to the club many don’t experience.
I met a chap in there yesterday from Liverpool who is a big fan of the hospitality at Rovers. And it has a reputation in footballing circles of being one of the better ones.

The experience I and others have had in the premier lounge this season have been awful. Where’s the legends lounge is it the same thing?

The problem is that a football club without the football is nothing. Even the good things like the Legends Lounge will die if the football is neglected.
Not much consolation hearing how good the hospitality is when you’ve got a season ticket in the stands and struggle to list 5 exciting games.

When people are talking about the club being a shambles they’re not talking about whether or not you can get some nice food or a comfy seat in the Legends Lounge. They’re talking about the inept leadership that’s taken us from the upper reaches of League One to the bowels of League Two in a couple of years. It’s something that should be rightly challenged. And frankly with people being turned off from attending for something they’ve often already paid for it’s not very likely they’re going to stump up more for corporate entertainment, which hardly makes up for the 90 minutes of shite that still has to be suffered.

The experience I and others have had in the premier lounge this season have been awful. Where’s the legends lounge is it the same thing?
It’s also called the jibba Jaba lounge. Second floor east stand. We had a very positive experience in there yesterday, despite the footy.

Exactly this. I support Rovers to watch the Football and witness success
If its good , then that's great . People will then have lots of time to Carp about other things like the PA System , the broken Scoreboard and the shameful pathetic Catering . Its natural "continuous improvement"
For me it doesn't work the other way in that if we are playing poorly , dropping down the table and provoking people to "throw in the Towel" for this Season and beyond, I dont think well we have a good Community presence , those Pies are nice and we have thicker paper towels in the Loos
NO I measure my satisfaction purely on the entertainment and hopefully success we are paying for and I have to say it is nowhere NOWHERE to be seen at the moment

And everyone working on the second floor of the east stand yesterday knew it.

I'm afraid some of us feel like throwing the towel in.
The club one day will need us again, it's just what state it is in at that point
The funds just aren't there for a DoF, I feel for Copps.

No , I don't think people should throw in the Towel but I can understand why some do. There were a couple in Car Park One saying loudly " that's it , forget it" (sanitised version)
I've got Season Ticket , Tickets for Swindon Sutton and Crawley and am cringing at what I am letting myself in for so who would I be to plead with them to keep the faith
I'm not loaded but I'm not having to watch every penny in a cost of living crisis either , so people who are have to judge whether they can even afford to keep going to games and if they can do they want to keep shelling out for what is let's face it very poor value for money at the moment entertainment wise
I went to a local Brewery the other day. The beer was 2.80 a pint and it tasted poor and looked even worse. I left 2/3 of it on the table and walked out , pledging to myself never to go back.
I can understand Rovers supporters feeling that way too

I take my Grandson who is 16, he is bored titless.
The reason I mention wait for non league is because that's about the level as fans we can save it.
My business does well but not good enough to buy and run a league club.
I'm Rovers through and through and want the best for them, I went through the Richardson era going to every game home and away, so I have seen it worse.
At 49, sitting there watching it die, it's just not right.
I honestly don't think it's the budget, it's just the inept ability to change things like manager and coaching appointments yet continually make the same mistakes.
It was obvious we needed experience to stop the rot.
If they want to turn the stadium into a leisure centre with add on social benefits they are going the right way, but that then will not be sustainable.
I'm afraid the football side of this is dead and the arrogance of the people running it, like the we won't go down from league one statement obviously still exists. It will happen you can see it a mile away, we are heading to non league again., and I will return. I'm just hoping my stay away when I have already paid for a season ticket is a sign to the board something has to be done. Honestly thank them for the investments they have put in to keep it going over the years but wow they are killing it. I just think they are too arrogant to even think about it.

I was texting my mate last night and asking what the odds were on Gillingham having more points than Rovers by the end of the season, the consensus was that the odds would be rather low and not worth a bet. Don’t get me wrong I love there’s a business side it’s so logical and how a pro football club should run. Also not like the business has to be at the expense of the football.
We’ve just either neglected the thought process in the football side or made it up as we go along and don’t seem able to make a right decision. After a certain time that’s not bad luck it’s bad management.

Totally agree sedwardsdrfc. The board talk of sustainability and good management of the club, but actually the most important part they have mismanaged and continue to do so.

I have commented a couple of times recently about this claim that the club is now 'Sustainable' and I question it because there are essential variables around income that are reliant upon the success of the football - the only reply to my point I have had is to tell me I am wrong and that the club has been sustainable for some years now. Well, the football side of the club has been in a rapid downward spiral in the last 2 years and that does seem something of a coincidence.
I totally agree that the club should seek all avenues to maximise potential revenue streams, to do anything less that that would be a dereliction of duty, I have no problem with the it in principle. But It seems to me that in practice those running the club are using it as a sort of pet project to show their business acumen whilst allowing the FOOTBALL club to become a hostage to fortune.
I too remember bristling at GB's arrogance in refusing to acknowledge the relegation battle we were involved in and I am sure if it were to be suggested that this slide we are in could next season see the club relegated out of the football league he would dismiss it in similar fashion.
We are assured that this persistent decline on the football field is not down to the playing budget, I can't judge the truth of that so I will accept it at face value. Nevertheless, that must lead to the conclusion that the people employed by the club to run the football operation are inadequate in their individual roles. All of these people are there because they have been selected by officers of the football club. It is inexcusable that a Self Sustaining football club with a budget to compete around the top of the Division should choose to employ people in specialist roles who lack the skills for the job they've been chosen for.

I guess it’s still sustainable if the playing budget is cut to match the lower income from match days. Apparently that hasn’t happened but at some point it must or we won’t be sustainable.

Maybe it's just me but I don't consider that sliding down the leagues whilst attendances dwindle and sponsorship revenues decline forcing reductions to the playing budget to balance the books as being sustainable.

Exactly. If the goal is financial sustainability then poor on the pitch performance will become self fulfilling. Maybe that’s what we’ve seen the last few seasons.

It's easy to support a team that's playing well and winning. Rovers for life not just Wembley and all that.

I was at all non league games as I was at Wembley.
It's about what the future looks like going forward.

I agree hound. But even if it was entertaining we would be happy for very long with a team losing more than they were winning. Not in this league or even possibly in the one above.
It’s winning football that brings in the fans. In this league there is no excuse for not winning far more than we lose with this set of players.

Yes, that is true but I honestly can’t say that what we are watching is entertaining football and that is what is driving people away.
So, if the players are good enough and aren’t winning, who is at fault then.
