I just seen the interview with this deluded man
Says there were some Pleasing parts of our performance, controlled lots of parts of the game, created some good chances (lots of good chances) WHat on earth is he talking about? It can’t be todays team, we been beaten twice by a team with only 5 wins all season, says it all, Tell the truth and say we were shit and apologies to all fans.

Everyone at the club is burying their heads in the sand. Olowu said Mansfield was a “good performance” on that YouTube show for example.

We've had about 20 good minutes from the last 180. After the pressure for about 10 minutes in the second half where these chances were created, the subs and tactical changes again slowly made us worse.

I have to admit I think I’ve blinkered myself towards this chap because i really really didn’t want or think we needed a third completely inexperienced manager in a row. But having said all that I simply can’t listen to the bloke. He just talks b*llocks. It’s all scripted cliches straight out of the coaching manual. He’s not the answer for us right now.

His interviews are really starting to grate on me now. Whatever the question, eg. on how sh-te we have been, he always skirts around it & speaks total rubbish, does he think we're stupid or have not witnessed what he has, just tell it how it is & what your plan is to put it right.

Keith Curle said we played the football but never threatened his goal. That has to change.
Also they played 5 of the players they signed in January set to be solid and counter attacked they got the result because we couldn’t. So DS can talk about the good things but we need to score goals and defend better what goes in between needs to make sure that happens

I fear Danny is on the verge of insulting a lot of fans to be honest.
When he joined he made a point of explaining he was a Donny lad and knows what we want and who we are.
Well I for one know what I’m watching and don’t appreciate hearing we have played well and created lots of chances, when we bloody well haven’t.
It’s a difficult moment for sure but I’d rather him just say it’s not good enough.

You could conclude that he is unable to identify shortcomings. Perhaps he has an exaggerated misconception of the fashionable virtue of "being positive". I'm glad I'm not the only one who cannot understand what he is talking about. Obviously if doesn't understand and analyse problem areas he has little prospect of rectifying them.

Now I'm really worried, I think he actually believes the rubbish he's coming out with. He gave no answer to how he was going to improve the goals against column, & for him to say 'we're there' in terms of performance & how he wants us to play, ie dominating play, I'm speechless.

He needs to stop talking and get the hard work put in on the training pitch. We are nowhere near there. The players probably haven’t a clue what he wants from them. He’s a modern coach that over complicates a very simple game.
Sean O’Driscoll wasn’t the best with interviews but you got more from him, you knew there was a plan in progress.
This guy is just full of it. If he knows Doncaster, he should know a b..l sh..ter is found out very quickly around these parts. He has a lot of hard work to do with this team, get on with it and get them functioning as a team.

I find it difficult to believe that Copps could be taken in by such a man. His apparent unshakable belief in his coaching philosophy is dangerously obsessive. He displays a single-minded confidence which has such a focus on methodology that he does not question outcomes.
It was particularly indicative of his reliance on coaching science when he was asked about Ro-Shaun. He did not answer the question directly, but gave an assessment of how he saw his qualities in the most generalised terms ignoring the focus of the question which was about him making crucial errors, instead falling back on the standard jargon. To me, that exemplified a total focus on process, ignoring what is more important - execution.
If you have have total confidence that what you are doing will produce a given result, but ignore the actual outcomes, you are back to Einstein’s definition of insanity of expecting a different result from repeating the same series of actions.
I am sure that these xG etc., stats which DonnyOsmond understands, and about which I’ve asked him some questions, will have a major influence on Schofield’s beliefs, but right now their rigour in the case of DRFC, seems highly questionable.

And it doesn't have to be pretty, some fantasists would have never watched Athletico Madrid or Argentina if they had to pay, but playing spoiling football, having the players to do it, and organising them fills stadiums if successful as easy as Manchester City being easy on the eye.
Win and they will come, not a lot more matters.

I can understand some of the stuff he's saying, but I'm alarmed by the comment that performances have been good and have been consistent. Consistency is the key thing we are lacking in the performance. At Grimsby we were fantastic for 80 minutes, you can't convince anyone that that performance tallies with what happened at Mansfield where it was the reverse and we were comfortably second best for 80 mins.
I get that the HC will want to focus on processes and inputs but if he believes that the outputs of that work have been consistent, he is kidding us all (and himself)

brilliant post. This is exactly what we need. The club need to read the room. It’s exactly what is needed AT THIS CURRENT TIME to get the fans back on side. Something to get pulses racing and people excited. Not the tepid, gutless dross being served up currently. It rubs off on everyone.
We can only hope change is afoot in the summer.

And I'm not denying the SOD times were successful and this will sound controversial but at times the football could be tedious.

The player and manager comments about our performances being good are brining back Baldwin we aren't in a relegation battle vibes.
Hopefully of Biggins is out we see Rowe back in the centre of midfield and get to see a real improvement in the team (not that I dislike Biggins) but Rowe is certainly when fit levels above our current central midfielders.
