I said the other day that I was in two minds about renewing for the 29th year in a row.
Got the email from the club to say season tickets are on sale half an hour ago and now renewed for me and my oldest lad. I must be a right mug! Can't fault the prices though.
-
I’ve had the same email, I’ll sort my out at dinner time.
-
Screwed again for me, I’m 60 on 6th August, I’ve asked the question a few times at the ticket office, stating the season usually starts just before or just after my birthday, would I be eligible for the seniors price, the answer was I don’t see why not, now they have put the cut off at 1st August!!!
-
The unused tickets one is a good one for me as night games are a pain. Can see me quite happily getting a hospitality game with it.

What is the cost if you wait until after the 6th? You don't get the early discounts but you can still get a reduced price I would have thought.

I’ve not rang to check yet, just took it as the cut off point was the 1st, thats how I read it anyway
-
Good move to freeze prices. If the football actually gets good it will be great value. UTR

Surely you'll just get the discount next season when you've actually reached the required age by the cut-off date?

Knowing my luck they’ll change it to 65

What happens if the first home league game is after your 60th birthday, say the 9th or 10th ?

You're unlucky.
-
I suppose they've got to have a cut-off at some point. If your 60th is in September you're quite unlucky but would you expect them to move it a month?
-
Then the people born in October would be complaining.
As you say, there has to be a cut off point.

Anyone managed to renew a reserved seat online? I’ve clicked on start renew but get the following message…
The following subscription(s) cannot be renewed online. It seems that your seats are already occupied. Please contact the back office to renew these subscriptions manually.
I’m just trying to renew my existing season ticket not change seats or anything.
-
Had that problem a few years back, have always contacted TO since to renew
-
Thanks will give them a call this week
-
Log into your club Doncaster account, click season tickets option then it will bring up your new 23/24 membership to renew. If you gifted your ticket the other year the £40 is already taken off.
-
I did that, clicked renew, picked my ticket then got the error. I’ve re-read my email and it says if I want to renew my W28 seat I have to phone them or go in, not sure why.

Same here, I did mine the other day and I got it for £244.04 as I qualified for the £40 discount and I’m a member of the lottery
-
I renewed mine but was told to submit a head and shoulders photo or call into the ground for a photo as they will be needed for the season tickets next season.

Just the same as the Rugby League Season Card this year
-
Is there a deadline for this price, doesn’t specify in the email if it’s an “early bird” discount or not?
-

Take it they're trying to put an end to lending a mate your season ticket if you can't make the game then.
-
When I asked about the photo id the lady told me it was to stop people buying children’s discounted tickets when they are teenagers or adults
-
What day do you have to renew by to get the discount for early purchase?
-
I think you should have the option to download your season ticket onto your phone as well and just scan it instead of a plastic card
-

Swindon had notices on Turnstiles saying " use a discounted Ticket and get caught and you will have it confiscated AND will not be allowed in "
I remember at Luton they had an over 70s Ticket as well as over 65 . I got one for S*** on the Coach down and let him have it for a Tenner cos I didn't think he would get in with it. He took the chance and pulled it off despite only looking 35 lol
Still I reckon you could knock on somebody's door there and give em a Tenner to let you through house into back garden . Bloody weird dump
-

I scanned mine into the Stocard app and tried it last Tuesday. It didn’t scan which is weird as it’s just a barcode. Going to try it this Tuesday again as the turnstile guy might not have scanned it right as he looked like he didn’t trust me!
-
The notices were up when I went John. I was 62 or 63 at the time but had bought an oap one as their fans got in discounted at 60 at the Keepmoat.
I must have looked my age because there wasn't any questions on the way in.
-
It's going to be the other way round for me. Seeing as I only look about 37, they're not going to believe I'm a pensioner.

he would not even scan mine ,just wanted to see the card
-
Just renewed mine online, easy, no mention of any photo requirements.£259, with £40 discount, £11.77 a game, bargain or what.
-
Wonder if the photo is for other than full price tickets?
-
That's a good point Raven. If you are paying full price the only fiddle open to fans would be to lend the ticket to a mate if they don't go.
I miss quite a few games now so vouchers to spend in the club shop or upgrading for a game might be of some use to me.
-
I was under the impression the photo was for the Car Park pass
-
Looks like there's an early bird period that ends in a couple of weeks then they go off sale, seems a bit odd.

I don't suppose anyone from the marketing department has thought to tell anyone.

35 ? I'll take that ya smooth talker, I'm not even sure you took the tenner off me.

Article on Rovers news if anyone is bothered to look

What i would like to know is whether those who have already got next years season ticket also obtain the discount incentive which wasn't on offer when purchased but reflects season tickets bought before 1st April? Surely that is the case? Otherwise season ticket holders are penalised for obtaining them already.

No I saw it today, just surprised there's now an early bird period with a price increase supposedly. What that's an increase to who knows? Or why they've not told anyone at all until now, odd.

Yes. I hope you are well.

The 10 % discount pot also APPLIES to those who have ALREADY purchased ST.
I wouldn’t think you’d be able to spend the discount pot on the shop as that’s run by Elite pro sports & not the club.
-
Anybody know how St sales are going
-
No mention of any special offer or earlybird price until yesterday. Effectively given supporters little over two weeks to find potentially hundreds of pounds. Not ideal in the current economic climate.
-
There was a mail shot back in Feb and I think it has been advertised on the big screen
-
The issue is the football has been rubbish for the last 2 year and if it wasn't for the fact I go with my dad I would have missed alot more games this season than I have, ,their is no entertainment value at the minute ,alot of people will not renew next season unless things chance in the next 10 games
-

I got the mailshot and I've read it over and over again but unless I'm being extremely dim I can't see any mention of prices being different after a certain date.

Agreed, myself and the two mates I regularly go to matches with have done the same.
There was no cut off dates mentioned on the mail shots that we received.
-
After a few years without a season ticket I decided to get one for next season. I went to the ticket office and paid for an old git in the South West corner.
The young lady said I would need a photo for the card.
They send a confirmation email and you can attach a photo and send it back.

Absolutely, it would be good if the club would tell us.

Must be my age or my eyesight ;) I'm fine and you?

My thought is that tickets willl be the same or similarly priced when back on sale but the incentive is there for the early birds only
-
Needed photo ID for Dons season ticket. The ticket office took a photo went back 3 weeks later to pick it up the ticket and they'd not sent it through so had to have another one taken.

purchase your season membership before April 1 the club will add 10% of the price you pay to your ticket exchange account. The money credited to your account can then be redeemed against future purchases such as any ticketing product for a home league game, car parking, hospitality experiences, 4Life membership, a club matchday/monthly publication, lottery subscriptions (over 18s only), mascot, escort a player or group experiences.

So no mention of early bird discount until this week then?
I've now received an email from the club confirming earlybird tickets will go off sale on 1st April and then back on at full price from 17th April although no mention of what full price is.
I find it very odd that this hasn't been communicated before this week.
