Is it just me or does anyone else see fledgling similarities to the EU.
It even comes with its own visceral hatred of the EPL which they believe is too strong and is taking all the best talent away from the continental leagues.
Do these people never give up, its as stark as the growing noses on their faces that they want more control to enable them to control the biggest media and TV rights. Greedy bast**ds just does not cut it.
They do not like the current strength of the EPL's deals and rights and pulling power for top players.

Yeah I see what you mean. The EU was founded as a means of ending the millennia-long problem of armed conflict between the nation's of the continent.
This is about football.

So you don't have a view on this creation?
Reading between the lines here BST, you know exactly what i meant about comparing the corrupt structure of this charade and the other one in Europe.

Nope I dont see any similarities with the EU.
The EU is concerned with spreading wealth and growth across all member states. It has elections conducted by PR which leads to the widst range and greatest inclusion from within all its members.
The ESL is capitalist greed in action. It is being promoted by a commercial company in tandem with the largest clubs in Europe with the sole intention of hoarding wealth for that company and on behalf of those clubs - in a totally undemocratic way and to the detriment of everybody else.
So no. The models of the EU and the ESL are about as polar opposite as you can get.

There is a case from the Big European clubs that I can reconcile with .
The EPL is blowing them out of the water and it's an unstoppable force .
I do see the point that they are struggling to compete with the EPL and that will eventually manifest itself in to becoming virtually feeder leagues for the EPL , it's only a matter of time before Real Madrid , Barcelona and Bayern Munich won't be able to buy the top talent at all other than creating it themselves before eventually selling them to the EPL .
As far as the elite EPL clubs are concerned they won't want to compete against another league with potentially more revenue on offer .
There's also the matter of financial fair play in the equation which is likely to be waived in any future European League and the owners of Manchester City , Chelsea and Manchester United won't have that monkey on their backs .
The problem they have is that fans of our elite clubs don't want it and never will , the culture here is vastly different to that on the continent and in any case why would fans in this country want to see change on this scale when they are perfectly happy with the EPL .
I think the European Super League will happen but minus our clubs within it and the EPL will have a major competitor to negotiate .

Take all of the PL teams. And f**k them off to this new league.
The rest of the pyramid will be better off without.
