I wonder what the cause was, power surge? Fuse failure?, someone tripped over the extension lead? Lol!

I heard the Gym closed and they had all the exercise bikes rigged up to it
-
Just as well It got going again because it looks a minefield re when games result counts , when there might be a new game scheduled or even part of a Game
Anybody have a definite accurate answer ?

I heard Terry Bramble jammed the meter up trying to push a Pontefract cake into the coin slot.
-
Chairman pulled fuse out as 3 match unbeaten run gave a chance of playoffs, which interfered with his hopes of a fully sustainable Goole and Thorne league side as part of a wider 15 min town plan for Moorends .
Or it tripped out, one of the two
-
I think they got the ifollow plug mixed up with the floodlights plug.
-
the match had three phases and generated a lot of jokes on here
Didn't think the ref would give the sine and wave play to restart.
Looking at the table we are currently up to 9th and next ohm match is Bradford City

Watt you on about ?

Winning the last 3 games is certainly a good plug to get the missing fans back.
-
Loved how the subs board had a power failure as well straight after.
Note to 4th official it has an on/off switch :-]]
-
At least they didn't torch-er us ON the field
-
Power surge….is the correct answer
-
Ha ha. Did they try plugging in the North stand scoreboard?
-
I heard the problem started in the West stand toilets where a contract sparky was laying a cable.

They took the batteries out of the substitute board to power up the floodlights.
-
Yes they are ever ready to find sustainability

Foreign football betting, someone sneaked in dressed as one of the half time heavies with two coats on, and leather gloves and pulled the plug out of the six plug adapter for the lights, luckily missing the power for the beer pumps.
Another theory, nobody had time to nip down to Poundland for the pencil batteries. So someone had to take old batteries out and put them on the tip of their tongue to get them going again.
-
Lights on now, must be looking at the problem.
-
The lights were on yesterday and today as goalkick says so must seeing if it’s overload or maybe a intermittent fault which tripped a breaker.

Is it 75 mins? Oxford v Ipswich would have been abandoned recently with the score at 1-1, but Ipswich wanted the game to continue so they could find a winner...and lost! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64272531 (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64272531)
Given that the game stopped at 77 minutes, not sure why we bothered turning the lights back on!
-
I believe that the rule is that all abandoned matches have to be replayed unless the managing organisation of the league decide otherwise, so it falls to the rules of the individual league competition or to a committee who make a ruling
-
I’ve just tuned in to this thread and I am of the opinion that Dr.F (above) is correct.
-
How about a wind turbine at each corner (with a red light on each) and solar panels all over the roof?
In general, has the club done much on the sustainability agenda? I don’t mean financial. Apologies if I’ve missed it. Forest Green lead the way I guess. The stadium sponsors and the council could help.
We built a new stadium that is hard to reach except by car so that wasn’t a great start.

It used to be that the score stood if the game was abandoned after 75 minutes, Wolfie, but that rule was done away with years ago.
Nowadays, if the game is abandoned at 88 minutes, the whole game has to be replayed, which is bloody ridiculous in my opinion.
I preferred the old rule, it was fairer.

the "darker" side of football
