Todays team is unchanged from Tuesday night.

No Williams

No Williams
Injured. Good to see Biggins back and Long too.

Is IF working?
-
It's getting stupid. Two minutes to 3pm before they can be bothered to start.
-
Its working now

3 | Tommy Rowe hooks a ball over the bar via a deflection from James Maxwell's cutback.
0-0
COYR
-
6 | Bright start from Rovers continues. George Miller is put in close to the byline, he flashes the ball across goal where James Maxwell strikes, only for Harry Beautyman to turn the effort over the bar with an outstretched leg
0-0
COYR
-
8 | First test for Jonathan Mitchell comes via his own teammate as Tommy Rowe slices an attempted clearance from a Will Randall cross with the Rovers keeper catching under his bar
0-0
COYR

The Sutton commentators are very good. I like to hear us from another perspective sometimes.
-
10 | Really good break forward from half way from Rovers as Luke Molyneux carries the ball. He squares to Charlie Lakin whose strike hits George Miller in an offside position. This game is full of energy in the early stages
0-0
COYR
-
19 | A Charlie Lakin free kick deflects wide for a corner off the wall
0-0
COYR

My lad is at the game. He reckons they are there for the taking based on first 24 mins

Agreed, no partisan bias and describing the action very well.
-
21 | Superb save from Jonathan Mitchell as he pushes a potshot from Harry Beautyman up and catches it at the second attempt
0-0
COYR
-
71% possession so far for rovers.
-
27 | Excellent surging run from James Maxwell to carry the ball to the corner of the box under pressure. He clips in a cross and George Miller flicks a header wide
0-0
COYR
-
Bradford losing
-
Sutton coming into the game now. Another shot saved by Mitchell.
-
29 | Bodies on the line from Rovers from a Sutton corner with Ben Nelson throwing himself in front of a shot from Will Randall
0-0
COYR
-
31 | Real relentlessness in the attacking play from Rovers so far as they continue to force the issue. Charlie Lakin sees a cross punched out of play by Sutton keeper Jack Rose
0-0
COYR
-
35 | Really good strike from Charlie Lakin as he latches onto a half clearance 20 yards out. Sutton goalkeeper Jack Rose bats the effort away
0-0

We shaded the half I thought. It's all a bit 100 miles an' hour, not so great quality. A bit of composure wins this game.
-
Good first half, I'd like to see a few more shots on goal when we are close to their box,. Good play tho :-)
-
We got sloppy towards the end of the half, get back to what we were doing at the begining
-
Still no goals conceded in the last 317 minutes!
-
Playing some good football on what looks to be a poor pitch. We just need to take some chances and take a shot anywhere near their box.
Hurst looks a bit lightweight so no doubt he will now score after the interval.
-
Still no goals conceded in the last 317 minutes!
You've gone and done it haven't you.
-
Only 27% of headers won and I would think they are defensive headers.

Oh dear…never gave it a thought, CiM!

46 | Biggest chance of the game so far as James Maxwell cuts back to George Miller, who looks to tap in only for Coby Rowe to produce a massive block
0-0

49 | Coby Rowe heads home for the hosts

Miller … how could he miss that?
-
Can anybody get our commentary? I can only get Sutton's
-
This is now the test of how fragile or firm is our new-found confidence.
-
Let's see what the players have got...
You Reds :scarf:
-
Rovers' commentary working for me, Barmby.
-
Still no goals conceded in the last 317 minutes!

Losing 1-0…my fault. Sorry. :headbang:
-
Only ourselves to blame for being behind in not taking our chances.
-
No George Miller's fault. How he still starts is a joke. When he doesn't score he offers nothing.
-
55 | Close to a second for the hosts as Will Randall curls narrowly wide from the edge of the box
1-0
COYR

I mean he is a striker. Looks like he's the new target now Williams is out the side. He's out of form, every striker has these runs.

It wasn't a block. All Miller had to do was touch the ball and it was goal. Instead of which he completely missed it.
-
We just need to calm down. Something in this game for us, they are shite like every other team in this league.
-
Front two now, this will be interesting.
-
Lavery misses goals too.
-
61 | Huge chance for Lavery to score with his first touch as he meets a cross first time and lifts the ball narrowly over the bar
1-0

And how many times have we been beaten by shite teams?
-
We've been playing better of late but Miller has been getting worse every game. I know lots of you like him because he runs around a lot and some people get a soft spot for people that try.
-
To be fair, much the better side. They are a big boot team staffed by giants.
-
Miller frustrates the hell out of me. I can’t work out what sort of a striker he is. Poacher? Ball to feet? Ball to space? Takes players on?
I’m not sure even he knows.

Both commentary teams say it was a block, perhaps you're just wanting it to be Miller's fault.

Hate it listening to commentary when the oppo have a player of the same name - Rowe in this case

Presses, pace, scored plenty before this bad run. He has weaknesses but he's a league 2 striker.

His work rate is phenominal but he misses so many easy chances.

As opposed to the forwards we've had that haven't tried in recent years. He's light years ahead of Bogle Dodoo Cukur & co.
-
Not a good day for Bobby Faulkner
76: Bobby Faulkner is sent off for a late challenge on Kieran Glynn.
-
Miller … how could he miss that?
If he attacks the ball he scores, instead he waited for the ball to come to him

My dog is better than those 3. Should he start up front next week?

Can you explain then how a player can block a ball when he is behind a player?

If he’s called ‘Rover’ …. yes :)

I don’t think he’s quick.
Hopefully he can turn it around but I don’t think he offers much. We all lover a trier though.

Seaman on for a brown, as Brown is open a yellow card may be save him getting another

88 | Rovers are caught out pushing for the equaliser as the ball is hooked forward superbly to send David Ajiboye racing clear and he slots past Jonathan Mitchell

2-0 If you miss your chances your not going to win many games however good your approach play is. Sutton are piss poor but have taken theirs.
-
How much longer is Miller allowed to be having a blip?
-
Olowu has had a shocker, we did well for 30 mins then just went to pot, have lost points to
A really poor team today
-
and here we are again ☹
-
We have only had 12 shots with 1 shot on target but 65% possession. They have had 14 shots with 6 on target that is the difference.
-
Bit of a travesty but we've been winning games we shouldn't. That said, Sutton really are piss poor.
-
A draw would have been very acceptable today.
Disappointing
-
We have played all the pretty football but our play in the oppositions half is pedestrian at best.
We played all the football Sutton scored the goals.
-
and here we are again ☹
TBF, Blackpool was only stating his opinion.
-
What a diff a game makes.
Pre match 6 points from third place.
Now 9 points from third.
Ppg drops to 1.48 for the season.
3 points off 7th.
-
1.48 ppg equates to 68 points end of season.
That’s no where near a playoff slot as it stands.
-
At least Bradford lost as well. " home games now need to win both.
-
We just can’t cope with the physical stuff
-
If you don’t take your chances you don’t win matches. A disappointing result away from home. No doubt the doom mongers out there will be out in force tonight
On to next Saturday which should be a good game with a big crowd
Onwards and upwards

The first half hour we were very good,
Had the chances to win,
The new signings in brown, Nelson and Lakin have been excellent, even if we don’t go up.
Give them a chance to build a side they want and next season will be successful

Agreed.
It would still be nice to be in the playoff mix this season though.
Give the fans something to get remotely excited about .
-
Yes let’s write off another season. This squad should be good enough to be in the playoffs bare minimum. Disappointing result move onto the next one. We need to be the aggressors in every game.
