Signs another 2.5 year contract

Very happy with this. One of the few who are worth keeping around.
-
That's fantastic news! Our best player and most saleable asset in my opinion!
-
This is a good move. God knows why he has signed it, but glad he has. Needs to channel his talent more to be really effective, but he’s obvious quality.
-
Good news, must be quite a while since we last have a player a 2.5 year extension to his contract
-
We gave Jon Taylor a 3 year extension.
-
Positive news. He clearly has a lot of ability and should only get even better.
-
Amazing news don’t think you find players like these in bargain supermarkets - we could make some money on this guy but hopefully first he will drive us onto higher levels
-
We gave Jon Taylor a 3 year extension.
How on earth is this relevant?
-
Great news!! have a feeling he’ll have a release clause built in to his contract.
-
We’ll happy with this Hurst is clearly a talented player
-
We would be foolish to think that he doesn’t have a value as do all players. Hopefully this is one that works in our favour
-
This is an awesome piece of news!!
-
Good signing.
-
Great news for both the player and the club. After his first season in men's football he now know's what's required to get the best from his natural talent, im sure he will , with the clubs help work at it to the extent that we will get a very good prospect and the club and Kyle will benefit when the time comes for him to move on up the pyramid.
Good work by all involved.

Didn't Tom Anderson sign one just yesterday...?
-
Brilliant news, very talented player. He just needs to toughen up a bit.

I think he means before his contract is running out, I was thinking the same we normally let them run down before offering new ones, think hurst still has another year left on his

Very good news. Had a great first season to date with us.
-
Great stuff!
-
Excellent news.
-
Brilliant news.
Unlike Kyle Knoyle maybe the players believe we are ambitious and going to build a promotion team next season.
Although this season isn’t dead just yet.
If we win 4 and draw 2 of next 6 games up to end of March then we are still in with a chance of play off place. A very tall order based on how inconsistent we have been.
I concede top 3 is all but gone now after losing last 2 games.

Interesting Camps.
It got me wondering when we last went six games unbeaten.

At the start of this season.
Bradford 0 - 0 Rovers
Rovers 2 - 1 Sutton United
Wimbledon 2 - 2 Rovers
Rovers 2 - 1 Stockport County
Rovers 2 - 1 Salford City
Northampton 0 - 1 Rovers

We got battered in most of those games from memory.

I definitely remember a feeling of "we're getting the results but we're not playing well...this won't last" at the time.

Yep, I had forgotten all about that.
It must be because it didn’t feel like it.

It felt better then than it does now!

Massive difference in most of those first 6 games was the presence of Lee Tomlin.
-
Correct SS, and as I have been saying for weeks, we haven’t got or signed anyone who has half of his talent for unlocking defences.
-
I watched the Stockport highlights last night, Tomlin was involved in everything good we did.

We started to get found out quickly playing with Tomlin. Take that first Barrow game 2-0 for example.

SS but Tomlin was sent off against Bradford and missed the next game

Err, could that have had something to do with the fact that the other 10 were all sh*te that night?
Barrow should have had 6. We were appalling.

Read my post carefully, Raven. "MOST of those first 6 games".

Tomlin was a chance signing as he had problems staying fit. We got him because of this, there was no way we could replace the class he had with the wages we play, with one player. We’ve had to go about things differently. Definitely weaker without him. We had a player there that gave us the edge in tight games.
