Zero cutting edge, we should have 2 upfront against teams like these

Well, that half was as dull as dishwater. You’d think it was a pre season training session.
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate

football is supposed to be entertaining. perhaps Schofield needs reminding?
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: DearneValleyRover on March 07, 2023, 08:34:20 pm
Nelson and Hurst haven’t made a single pass to a Rovers player, either straight to a Harrogate player or run straight into them.

This is non league football as simple as that

They have at least 5 at the back that do not move me need players alit nearer lavery and try and win the game

Take Nelson off and put another forward on plz
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate

Dour first half. Sort it Danny.

More ridiculous trying to play out from the back and too many players making the wrong decision.
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: Bessie Red on March 07, 2023, 08:38:55 pm
That 1st half was a disgrace to the name of Doncaster Rovers FC. No urgency,  no creativity, no - one taking responsibility,  we are at a very low point!
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: DearneValleyRover on March 07, 2023, 08:40:35 pm
Not sure why we took Todd Miller on loan but the lad is supposed to be rapid, you need players like that to run onto through balls, if he can’t get a game tonight we should send him back
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: moses on March 07, 2023, 08:42:25 pm
By the law of averages the second half has got to be better than the first half.

By the law of averages the second half has got to be better than the first half.

But as Rovers fans we know it can get worse.

If we don’t get anyone near the striker we won’t score it’s f**king simple Danny sort it out or do one

It feels like we can have a bank of standard responses and cut and paste them for every game

Nah, I watched Rosso Main at the weekend, it was a lot more entertaining.

Why  would you give a team with one of the worst away records in this league so much respect, by making sure we don’t get beat we have iensured we don’t win.

God awful half of a match to watch, sometimes you just need to throw the manuals away and go for it, if this is not the match to do so then when will it ever.

Pure bone headedness from our management, the club is dying on its feet and the crowd has disappeared, the few here will be very much considering  why the fu*k  are we still here ?

If we come out second half and produce this same turgid crap I dread to think how many will be left at the end.

Shocking is just not strong enough.

Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: Barmby Rover on March 07, 2023, 09:01:51 pm
Turgid, slow, awful football from both teams, they look like they could play this to the end of the season without either team scoring...
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: ScillyRover on March 07, 2023, 09:04:13 pm
Lavery running around like a headless chicken and THAT is the sum total of our attacking threat. Just dreadful for a side at home.
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: sedwardsdrfc on March 07, 2023, 09:05:27 pm
I want Schofield to do well but if all he’s got to offer is to offer is this plan A then I’m going to start struggling to keep believing in him.

Can’t just turn up try one thing and one thing only then get sacked a year later and believe you’ve given it a good go.

Wouldn’t be as bad if his plan A wasn’t so negative
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate

Nelson’s passing is atrocious
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: DearneValleyRover on March 07, 2023, 09:06:28 pm
We need to freshen things up, get both Millers on and Larkin, take Nelson, Lavery and Hurst off but more likely to put Barlow on

Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: steve@dcfd on March 07, 2023, 09:08:52 pm
According to BBC we have had one shot on goal.
The club on the field is dying and supporters are staying away.
I bet ST sales will reduce.
We are a club that is spiralling downwards and if continues we won’t have the funds to get players in the summer.
The process is not working, plan A is not working we don’t have  entertainment any more.
Why can’t Copps and the people in charge see it.
Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate
Post by: NickDRFC on March 07, 2023, 09:09:21 pm
So, so turgid. I imagine Miller (G) will replace Lavery with 20 minutes to go and Lakin will replace Biggins or Close with 15 minutes to go and absolutely nothing will improve, whilst Miller (T) will continue his (enforced) quest to be the most pointless signing of the last 3 years even against some ridiculously stiff competition.

Title: Re: DRFC Vs Harrogate

Copps said in the owners meeting he doesn’t go on social media.
He doesn’t have to see how bad we have become and supporters on here are calling our performances awful.

No more than Harrogate deserve. They have stuck at it against an abysmal showing by Rovers.

0-2 Knives will be well and truly out for Schofield now and deservedly so on his tactically inept setup.

Brain dead approach. Hope they score a few more if it wakes DS up.

He has to end the season well imo to give us some hope for next season.

I’d be looking out for any experienced managers that come available

Think this now. We’ve been begging for it for the last 2 appointments at least.

Part of me thinks the club don’t want someone who knows the score rocking the boat. Probably because we just lost but I can’t explain doubling down on a problem any other way.

Sane with appointing Copps.

God knows how the club expects to get more fans in with the same shit ever game.

This could also be the final straw for a few as well

The three back to back wins are a very distant memory.
