Who isn’t buying one next season that has had one this season?
The only way we can force these clowns out of the club is by not buying the product that they are serving up. When they realise that no one wants a ticket to their circus they may finally admit that they need to sell up.

Me and my group of 4 are not renewing. Next season would have been out 18th season having one

Signing Burton, Hartlepool reserves and players from Scunny etc, needs to stop.

I got mine but did so out of obligation rather than any expectation of enjoyment. It’s like a winter flu jab or cauliflower, you are not going to enjoy it but you have it even so. It’s also so competitively priced these days that it does make the decision financially easier even if the experience itself is more often than not risible.

Good luck to anyone renewing, fair play. I couldn’t put myself through it.
Watching an increasingly substandard group of players produce an awful spectacle has long been the worst part of each Saturday.
There’s ways of seeing your pals which don’t involve 90 minutes of horrendous football by a squad of players who wouldn’t look out of place in the league below.

It won’t be better until the boys at the top have packed up and left. Only way that happens is when it is clear to see that they are not wanted at the club anymore. Right now there is still too many just accepting of our demise over the past 3 seasons. How bad does it need to get before everyone wakes up? Would being in the bottom 2 after 10 games next season open everyone’s eyes as to where we are heading?

The board have said on several occasions over the years they're open to offers for the club, this has been reported in the press and it's in the public domain. Anyone wanting to make a multi-million pound investment is likely to be reasonably proactive and know this, it's not like searching the classifieds for a Cat D Vectra.
What's more likely is that there's a tiny to non-existent pool of people with the ability and willingness to effectively incinerate cash in lower league football.

Cat D and C don’t exist anymore, it’s Cat N non srtuctural and Cat S Structural, i think we are in the later Cat

How low do the crowds need to go before club Doncaster becomes “unsustainable “?
This is the pressing issue the board need to be considering. Right now.
Because die hards who have shelled out year after year are now having second thoughts and even coming out and saying enough is enough.

I can see both sides of the argument but I’ve supported donny for the vast majority of my 58 years and, although we are watching some real shyte at the moment and I’m not loving it, isn’t that part of supporting a lower league club? The lows are proper kack but the Brentford’s, Wembleys, Brittania stadiums… they are life affirming. And without the lows, you don’t have the roller coaster that is being a donny fan.
Don’t get me wrong, I wish things were much better, but my Saturday nights moaning about a loss or celebrating a win just wouldn’t be the same without it. It’s my chance to spend some time with old mates, newer mates and family.
I’ve renewed but I understand those who haven’t, I really do. And I’m sure things will get better in time, maybe next season, maybe in 10 yrs, and some of those fans will come back but will have missed the highs of getting back there. All I know is that if I’d chucked in having a ST when things got really bad I’d have missed out on so much, not just football, but mates, an amazing relationship with my rovers mad late mum (esp touching on Mother’s Day!) and some great times. :rtid:

Until the board actually have some enthusiasm and ambition, I doubt we will be renewing season tickets

This thread sums up why it’s so hard for any one to invest in the club- the people of Donny just don’t get behind the club and now the diehards are deserting. Yes it’s been an abysmal couple of years, and we have all felt bored and frustrated in equal measure, but if you want to ever see us come back from this we have to keep the faith.

No, trust. Trust in someone who ran a successful business to recognise the issues and put in place measures to eradicate them. Trust that we will recruit players who will give everything for the club, unlike the lilly livered group we currently have.
We have no automatic right to be higher in the football pyramid. That right has to be earned, on and off the field. Not buying tickets will only hinder the situation, not make it better.

Football Clubs are not houses are they. If someone was genuinely interested in buying DRFC they would contact the board directly.
Bramall has publicly said that they are always prepared to talk to any interested person or persons if they had the best intentions to safeguard the club and had the funds to take the club forward.
TB is about 80 yrs old I think. He won’t be around for ever. Why on earth would he not sell his shares.
It is not as if DRFC are making him money is it.
You really need to get a grip of reality and stop posting utter tripe just to suit your agenda Ref the board.

And sale is a red herring. We don’t need new investment. We just need the leadership of the club to do a better job with the resources we already have. We should all things being equal be mid-table League One with a squad and manager who could at least be par with resources available. Money just being wasted time and time again on failure and disappointment.

You only have to go back 10 years to see the potential the club has when under the right owners. But of course even die hards will lose faith when the product being served up has been getting worse and worse for the past 3 seasons. The potential is not being fulfilled as now fans are finally realising that the owner has given up being bothered about investing in a competitive football club.
It’s ok saying that fans should get behind the club but the club are not supporting the die hard fans.

With Terry Bramell in charge, not spending, we will be in the national league in 2 seasons.

I've made the hard decision not to renew. I may well still attend games if I see there is at least a plan in place but I've not enjoyed the matchday experience for a long time and simply have more productive, warmer and cheaper ways of amusing myself on a Saturday afternoon.

One or two exceptions doesn’t prove your point.
Manchester Utd have to publicly declare their position because of their stock market listing, but privately owned clubs like ours don’t have to.

I would like to start going again with a season ticket after many a year of working saturdays but i just cant bring myself to do it with the current dross on offer.

The danger of people just "not renewing" will risk those people being lost forever OR changing allegiances to bigger local teams AND of course the danger of the latter is not a "lost generation" of fans that we often cite from the Richardson era BUT several generations in the future

That is the risk. All name calling and jibes against each other aside! I’m gutted about where the club is right now and where we are heading. I have a 3 year old who I want more than anything to be hooked on the Rovers. However we live in Birmingham with Aston Villa on our door step and soon he will go to school with his Villa supporting friends. What excitement has he got for supporting his dads team? I can drill it in to him as much as possible but if anything, taking him to games makes it worse as he is bored to tears and the whole match day experience is a shambles.
Credit where it’s due though, Donny Dog is always brilliant with him when we go! They deserve a pay rise for how much he chews their head off for 90 minutes.

I mentioned in another thread that id like to know whether the club are planning on doing anything about these performances. Reading this thread makes me feel like they really should be giving supporters some reassurances. I dont think any of us would believe them but, they must do something surely. I have a feeling if they are to release a statement or sack the manager they wont do it until the playoffs are mathematically impossible though.

There was a bloke in our town like this.
Born in Donny used to go as a kid.
Always purported to support Donny but during the late 90's when we were non-league he started watching Scunny on a regular basis.
Then when we got back into the league and Scunny were worse than us he started supporting Rovers again (I saw him at the Cardiff final)
Now he's started "supporting" Leeds ,sporting a Leeds shirt most times you see him.
He's in his late 50's and is a complete bell end.

I’ve renewed mine but as much as anything it’s because it reduces the price per game enough that if it’s as dull as this season then I won’t feel like I’m being scammed lol

The danger of people just "not renewing" will risk those people being lost forever OR changing allegiances to bigger local teams AND of course the danger of the latter is not a "lost generation" of fans that we often cite from the Richardson era BUT several generations in the future
That is the risk. All name calling and jibes against each other aside! I’m gutted about where the club is right now and where we are heading. I have a 3 year old who I want more than anything to be hooked on the Rovers. However we live in Birmingham with Aston Villa on our door step and soon he will go to school with his Villa supporting friends. What excitement has he got for supporting his dads team? I can drill it in to him as much as possible but if anything, taking him to games makes it worse as he is bored to tears and the whole match day experience is a shambles.
Credit where it’s due though, Donny Dog is always brilliant with him when we go! They deserve a pay rise for how much he chews their head off for 90 minutes.
Why not let him support his local team AND still have a soft spot for his dads team ?

I wouldn’t come and knock on your door and try and buy your house if it wasn’t up for sale. If they put the club up sale there would be potential buyers. Stop fooling yourself to say there wouldn’t be. The owners are currently not losing any money from the club as they are not spending anything so they are in no rush to sell up. If fans stopped buying tickets then they would soon realise that they are not wanted anymore and they might actually come out and invite potential buyers to make an offer.
That’s total rubbish. Every club is potentially For Sale. You don’t have to put a For Sale sign on the door or advertise it in the media.
Football Clubs are not houses are they. If someone was genuinely interested in buying DRFC they would contact the board directly.
Bramall has publicly said that they are always prepared to talk to any interested person or persons if they had the best intentions to safeguard the club and had the funds to take the club forward.
TB is about 80 yrs old I think. He won’t be around for ever. Why on earth would he not sell his shares.
It is not as if DRFC are making him money is it.
You really need to get a grip of reality and stop posting utter tripe just to suit your agenda Ref the board.
He isn’t spending anymore to make DRFC successful either. You can talk as much as much as you want about him putting money up in the past but the truth is that he is not doing that anymore and that has seen us drop at such an alarming rate in the past 3 seasons. With Terry Bramell in charge, not spending, we will be in the national league in 2 seasons.
