Olowu's mistake is horrendous. He reminds me of Joe Wright, in that he's a talented young CB with potential, but there always seems to be a brain fart error in him just waiting.
-
They don't show Miller's chance. Lucky for him.
-
Why did moore try to jump for the 2nd goal? It was at a decent height, that's what threw him off balance ffs
-
Good god....all 3 goals are a shitshow.
-
Just seen the highlights on ITV4 (Sunday morning) and the so called experts said the Mitchell will be knocking the manager’s door wanting his place back, typical of the media not doing their research about the situation

I think the ball moving all over the place was the problem
-
It had long enough to move about. Only Woods Pen at NUFC was in the air longer
-
Never had to question Olowu's commitment but his complete lack of effort for that 3rd goal was an absolute disgrace, as was Ben Close's. DS bangs on about fundamentals yet we dont have players that want to sprint to stop a cross when a team gets in behind us. Pathetic.
-
From what we see from the highlights we just weren't getting close enough to the ball carriers all over the pitch. No real effort to close down and hoping for the best that someone else can get a header or a block in. Just not taking responsibility.
I go back to Biggins. When he's off it then it leaves Close with too much to do and it's like knives through butter. Add to that, their good wide players, brave enough to run at our wing backs, getting past them with alarming regularity then being pinned back meant we couldn't blow our way out of a paper bag.

more like lowlights

Trying to work out what James Brown is actually good at… anyone?

Singing, only he doesn’t feel good!.

We were useless until Lavery came on, we then had 3/4 decent chances.
We looked a different team.
Got to start tonight with two up front

Every goal kick we took short with Moore rolling the ball a few yards to Olowu, the Salford forward line figured this out in about 2mins and just pressed us every time we did it. Another example of us inviting pressure on when we should be clearing our lines. It's not Ederson to Stones, it's a keeper who joined us a few hours before the game passing to defenders lacking in confidence. What did Schofield think would happen? He's learned by-the-manual coaching for a Premier League team - we need a manager who can mix it, and scrap, and inspire, and who understands what it takes to compete in this league.

Totally agree, Reg, Schofield has zero capacity for learning. They say a fool learns from his mistakes, a wise man learns from the mistakes of others.
Schofield does neither.

Pretty much every team will see us do that pass and go for us. Happens every game and we rarely make it past the half way line with possession

Said this at the game, he should have also seen the pitch was nowhere near conducive to the way he wants to play. It's just all so amateurish.

Salford were 3-1 up, I think us improving was due to Salford defending a 2 goal lead.
