Second best away form in League Two, only 1 point off the best (Bradford City). Nobody has lost less games away from home (only 3 all season) and only Bradford and Mansfield (9) have more than their 8 away wins. More widely, they’ve lost 1 in their last 10 league games home and away, and that was to a 90min winner.

Schofield can’t blame any bad result on injuries. Northampton have 11 1st team players out.

Cobblers still 11/10 faves for this . I know where my money would be going . Teams with a winning mentality win games.

Look how many 1-0 wins they have had.
As you say a team that plays to its strengths, has some physicality up front, they are not pretty but effective.
Yes a winning mentality.

Looks very much like the team that Dean Saunders created whilst here, no big names or ego's but a workman like team that keep going and don't "EVER" give in to either the result or the opposition,.
They may not have been great to watch but they knew exactly what they needed to do and they did it. I also remember that all the deal legs and laggards suddenly declared themselves match fit and available too, something we seemed to have lost these last few years with the delicate petals we now have.
I'd have the attitude and mentality back in a heartbeat.

Had a look at their squad after reading this. Hylton’s a fairly big name but certainly doesn’t strike me as an ego and definitely a grafter. Didn’t realise that Jon Brady was their manager - remember him well from his Rushden days and the “gypo” chants. Also didn’t realise Jonny Maxted was there, although looks as though he’s 3rd choice keeper.

Pinnock and Hoskins no mugs either.
-
Harder to play against if the team is the star, rather than or two top players and the others just get them the ball.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they have an off day and we win this. On performances we shouldn’t get anywhere near a win.
For me get the manager out of the building and let a new set of eyes have a look at it.

Pinnock and Hoskins no mugs either.
Hoskins with the assist, Pinnock with the opener.

Not many of them have played much this season.
We’ve got 4 of our best 11 missing,

Hoskins with the second.

The thing is they are 3rd and they aren't that good
