To voice my displeasure to the idiot in charge, he couldn’t wait to get away from the West Stand to shake everyones hand and then proceeded to clap and give a double thumbs up to the East Stand, no idea what that was supposed to mean, then clapped an almost empty South Stand and West Stand before scurrying down the tunnel, the handful of people left, left him in no doubt how they feel!
-
We were pulling up outside the house in Kirk Sandall at full time absolutely hopeless
-
I genuinely cant understand why folk are wasting their time and money watching this shower anymore. Its not enjoyable and hasnt been for months now. Find something else to do because the club as it stands dont deserve your money.
-
its hard. loyalty to ones club. the town, the badge.
i wasnt there today. and thats probably me for this season. and without big change, prob into next season.
week in week out getting the proverbial kick in the balls and not being entertained is difficult to justify.
-
First time in 20 years I've left before 90 mins!!!! ,. Times are changing!!
-
He lost it several games ago, maybe soon he will come to his senses and realise he’s not a 1st team coach and for the good of the club leave before his reputation gets even more damaged.
Oh and can he take Blunt with him, because between them if brains were dynamite, they wouldn’t have enough to blow their noses.

Hopefully, he knew it was his last game in charge.

Regardless of the football served up, some of us like it for the social aspect, the football is just there to give us a reason to see each other and catch up.
Regardless of how crap it is, I’ll keep going as long as the ones I go with weekly keep turning up.

Hopefully, but I doubt it, he should have been sacked as soon as he entered the dressing room

Agree with you to a certain extent, however there’s only so much that people will put up with watching a club in crisis week in week out, money for many of us is really tight with what’s going on in the world, and to endure this shite I don’t blame anyone who stays away, maybe staying away is the best statement we can all make to this board, management and players
-
Exactly how I feel. I sit with a great group of fans and enjoy the social aspect but we are all of the same mind of how poor things are now
-
I sit behind the dugout and even Paul green was shaking his head
-
It’s been inevitable for weeks now that he’s got to go. Why don’t we do it now. Utter madness to wait till next season

The worry for me if I was a Rovers fan would be going in to next season on a run such as the one you are currently on .
If memory serves me right you fell spectacularly in the Covid season when very well placed in January to the extent you were well short of the play offs in the end .
The following season you were relegated to league two .
You can see it from over here that as a club you are in crisis and it needs addressing this summer and positively too .
The fans need a massive lift and the club need to give you one .
You need a manager with a credible record either in league one or two and some signings that gives the fanbase something to get positive about .
Players you know and have done it at this level , some names in league two terms .
The club needs to be brave this summer and raise the fans spirits and ST sales .
If this current mindset doesn't shift Rovers could be in real trouble next season in my opinion .

This is pretty much the opinion of all sane Rovers supporters nowadays. The whole club, from top to bottom, is toxic.
-
Yes, I saw the double thumbs up to someone in the East stand too. What was he so proud about after that shambles? It's the sheer arrogance and stubborn attitude of the man. We're 2-0 down and still he sticks with one up front when it was crying out for either Agard to come on or to put big Tom up front to at least try and get back into the game. But, no, let's stick with the same process and formation which doesn't work and put one of our attackers at left back instead. Totally clueless.
-
He’s happy he’s following the process. Clearly nowt wrong
-
When the West stand start joining in with the South Stand you know even the die hards have had enough

No not quite. We were just outside the league one playoffs, with a massively in form Jacob Ramsey on loan, when COVID kicked in. I genuinely think we'd have been promoted had that season carried on. But we started the post COVID season in great form under Darren Moore. It all fell apart the following January.
-
I went on 70 mins. Couldn’t stomach it any further. We are shambles of a club. Not point saying anymore, it’s all been said countless times over the past 2 years.
There’s no saviour on the horizon folks. This is the new reality

Stop going. Simple as that just stop going. It doesnt make you less of a supporter if you call it a day. I think it makes you more of an idiot than a supporter if you do go. Support something that is heading in the direction you want it to go in. If not then whats the point? Blunt out.

Us idiots need to keep going else they'll be no club for the non - idiots to come and watch when/if the team turn the corner.
-
Wonder what it's costing in extra security/stewards the Club?
Why the need to defend the South Stand as they have for the last couplle of games?

-
all the talk of sustainability of the club never mentions crowds. surely the club wouldnt be sustainable playing in from of crowds of 2k every week?

There's a significant point that you're missing though, Beast. Many of us who are staying away have already renewed for next season.
I'm prepared to continue to support the club financially, but that doesn't mean I have to attend, and watch football that's worse than what you'd see at Frickley.

Probably to stop anyone doing a pitch invasion protest.

Therr's only a few little kids left at the final whistle, it's not like the Richardsons days

As I exited where they playing Road to Nowhere over the tannoy?

You're quite legitimately frustrated, as pretty much every fan is. But directing that frustration at fellow fans, who are also hurting, is just completely destructive. Surely you can see that.

I’ve met DS and he is a genuinely nice man. He doesn’t deserve any abuse from anyone. He’s been given an opportunity to lead a team and he’s doing his best. Nobody deserves abuse for trying their best so anyone doing so is at best deluded and at worst a self important idiot.
Now with that being said - is he getting the best out of the squad? No. Is he the right person for the situation we are in? No, I don’t think so. Do we need someone with more experience of this kind of fight? Yes.
But what on this earth gives anyone the right to abuse someone for doing the job they’ve been hired to do? Anyone doing so needs to grow up and consider if they’ve always been successful in everything when they’ve tried…
Some of our fans are completely out of line.

Nobody is abusing him for the laugh. The man is from doncaster and is a doncaster man. I'm sure every one of us on here wanted danny to succeed but the fact is, he isn't. Supporters want to air their disgruntlement about the state of their club what else can they do? I am not condoning any personal insults and I'm sure DS is a nice man but christ on a bike hes so far out of his depth hes looking up at the wreck of the titanic. It is time for him to gracefully step aside and please god find an experienced manager to try to halt this seemingly never ending stream of shitshow performances.

I said to my mate it would be interesting to buy a ticket behind the dugout to see what it’s like at the moment.
I mean I know it’s not going to be great, but is Schofield getting much stick?
-
He seems like a decent bloke, local guy as well, who initially seemed to have the right idea. I don't like to see him pelted with abuse and I feel sorry for him. I really wanted him to be good.
However I do think that his approach to football management comes across as incredibly misguided at the moment and I just don't see how it can be made to work unless all the stars align. I just don't get it anymore. It's high-risk, no-reward rubbish, and completely self-defeating.
The number of decent people who have been chewed up and spat out from this club over the last few years isn't nice to think about. Butler, McSheffrey, probably Schofield, maybe Copps in future, and all the assistant coaches. I blame the people who keep putting these guys into roles that they clearly aren't suited to. Why do we keep doing this?

I just wont be putting my money towards this club until it shows supporters that they are ambitious again. I do not see the point anymore. For over 25 years i have watched this club whether we have been successful, competative or sh!t. I have fallen out with my wife having spent hard earned money supporting the club and it spoil my weekend, and for what? It isnt happening anymore. I love this club but because I dont pay my money to watch them makes me no less of a supporter than anybody here. My entrance fees will not ever be the difference between success and failure. If people cant take the "you are more of an idiot" comment as though im talking to a mate down the pub then thats their problem. There is a big difference between a flippant "you are an idot" and.. "you are an actual fu£%ing idiot"

He's meant to be respected not liked .
The very best managers aren't liked , Fergie wasn't a nice guy and neither was George Graham at Arsenal , the players hated him but respected him and the trophies they won under him .
You can't make omelettes without cracking eggs .

So many good football people chewed up and spat out like you say. It gutted me the way it ended with Butler. McSheffery was doing a decent job in the younger age groups by all accounts and clearly was very happy. Now Schofield is going to be lucky to get a job in senior football again a long with the others.
All of them could have ended up been decent managers but it’s always been too soon and with a us on a prolonged slide. We’ve obviously needs some experience and pragmatism. Should have let the like of Butler and GM learnt their trade and then when on a better footing let them have a go.
Hope we finally learn and don’t just give it Paul Green when DS finally goes. No need to ruin any coaching career he might have
-
He's been given the cumulative failures of half a dozen previous transfer windows to try and sort out, so no wonder he has struggled with the lads he has with him now. He was only able to make limited progress in January as almost all the budget was committed on players signed by other managers, who haven't set the world alight shall we say.
That said, the longer he has been here, the worse the performances and results have been. The Grimsby Town game away was not only his high point, but also totally unlike pretty much every game he has overseen. It's almost like he has ironed out the attacking intent from that game. As a result Miller is basically now redundant as a striker, given he is so isolated. The system he is introducing has to date been an utter disaster in terms of results, performances and the negative impact it has clearly had on the performance levels of each and every player.
-
There isn't a trophy for Nice Guy in this game , at least one that's worth winning .
It's a dog eat dog industry and anyone going in to it should know full well of it's demands .
It's also highly paid and a bloody mile a way from earning a living like I've done for over 40 years .
Win games you survive and have longevity in football management .
Lose em and the game ends your career .
It's that simple really .
-
As I exited where they playing Road to Nowhere over the tannoy?
It was Talking Heads but the song was 'Once In A Lifetime'. which was obviously a reference to how many times we've been good under Danny Schofield.
Sadly its the same as it ever was :turd:
-
The problem is losing games can’t be sustained, that is the most important part of the club. You can have finances in the black, that’s good but just being satisfied with maintaining a club isn’t enough.
If you’re going to do something do it properly or don’t bother at all. They need to take their heads of their backsides and see some daylight now and again.
-

If you pay your good earned money and in return are given this garbage week in week out every individual has a right to an option and that’s what they are expressing, there’s no abuse to anyone, just constructive criticism that some people at the club rightly deserve
-
I do feel bad for DS as it's obvious he's very much out of his depth...
BUT the pigheaded arrogance of ridgedly sticking to a system despite it obviously failing, with players who aren't capable of fulfilling it is killing us.
To the board and Copps - get your heads out of whereever you've shoved them, stop dictating to the market of the type of tactics you want, and chuffing hire someone whose *pragmatic* and able to utilise the resources to maximum effect!
-

They were excellent against Swindon away, when you could see exactly what his plan was, and very good at Sutton away. Those were probably the high points, results & performances have certainly gone downhill from that game.
-
Then perhaps, wilts what you saw wasn't HIS plan at all but just the team doing what it knew before he messed with their heads.
-
Then perhaps, wilts what you saw wasn't HIS plan at all but just the team doing what it knew before he messed with their heads.
If you say so pies. Would that include the 3 (4 when Lavery came on) January recruits who were playing too?
-
Wilts these players are to suited to playing on the counter. That was the obvious play v Swindon who play similar sideways tappy stuff to us.
Schofield hasn’t had them playing to their strengths since
