Title: UK's comparatively postive mid-term economic outlook
Post by: Branton Red on April 15, 2023, 01:53:46 pm
At least according to the IMF who are forecasting that: -

- In 2025 the UK economy will grow more quickly than each of France, Germany, Italy and the Eurozone
- In 2026 the UK economy will grow more quickly than each of France, Germany, Italy and the Eurozone
- In 2027 the UK economy will grow more quickly than each of France, Germany, Italy and the Eurozone
- In 2028 the UK economy will grow more quickly than each of France, Germany, Italy and the Eurozone

If this forecasted trend is accurate late 2024 would be a very good time to be winning a General Election.

Not really. This is lower than the OBR have predicted and the Government has gambled on. Which means debt will still be rising and public spending restricted - just not as much:

Funny how you've missed out what they're saying for 2023 and 2024...

Yes, we'd better start outperforming those countries otherwise we'll catch them up again after they've left us in the dust over the next two years.
