Which lovely Stainy lad kept Gordon Banks out of the starting eleven in the only time in his(Banks) career?

He was always considered to be too small.
He played non league to well into his 40s,and lived opposite the Catholic Church in Stainy.

Yes.
I believe that was his only stint at league level,but had a long career at Kettering,Rugby,Scarborough and Goole amongst others

Deffo Denaby because he signed with Chesterfield from there aged 21

I knew him when he lived in Stainy,and thought he was born there.
He definitely played for Scarboro around that time.
He was good mates with Jeff Barmby,Nick's dad.

He did play for Scarbro against us J.

This is definitely trivia. I've had it on good authority (neighbour) that Ted was born at Park Road Moorends.

Father and Mother in Law bought their house from him on East Lane Stainforth back in the mid 80’s, I inow one of his Son’s very well

There were 2 photos of Programmes recently on Facebook and TS was on one in goal for Scarborough

Typically I can't get them back to share , looked everywhere
