Nice to see us beat the Argies, despite being down to 14. Men after 3 minutes!
-
Absolutely brilliant performance tonight. Couldn’t see us getting anything from the game after we had gone down to 14.
-
George Ford was magnificent. He did what Jonny Wilkinson used to do, and just drop-goaled them to death.
His penalties were perfect too.

Great triumph from such adversity
Not clued up on Rules and trying to be "objective" but I thought the Sending off after 3 minutes was probably wrong.
Pleased to say 3 pundits all said it should have been a Yellow but they were all English too
However how the Argentina player did not get sent off a few minutes later was also a mystery. He wasn't even looking when he splatter Ford ( I think it was ) and he was lucky it wasn't much much worse
Despite that I was pleased to witness such a battling performance and the best Team won.

There is a Doncaster Knights player playing today for Chile. Who are also in Englands' group.
-
Keep Farrell in the stands. Need to score more tries.
-
England dug in well for an excellent win, but those two yellow cards mystified me one turned to red and the other one not, just didn't seem right,
-
TBH I couldn’t see us winning with 15 men but great performance well done
-
Great defensive display, but lets be honest we never got near their line, and try’s will be needed to go far in the competition

You're right, but there's more chance of tries with 15 men.

OK, CBCB, so you don't like rugby. Don't begrudge those that do.
Don't forget, you, me, and others are paying to watch a team of losers at the moment, who can't chase anything, let alone eggs.

It's frustrating that refereeing inconsistencies are becoming more of a talking point. Don't know how a Fiji player can clothesline someone or a SAFA can nut someone and they're not red. My pet peeve of football is stadium announcers screaming everything and this one in France is winning so far, even screaming the attendance like its announcing the winner of the Oscars

I thought their take on the national anthems was novel and different but the more they do the worse they get, they even managed to make the Welsh anthem sound tame!
As for the head high tackles, they have created a massive noose around their necks with the shocking interpretations to the law.How the tackle by the South African on the Jock was not even checked by the TMO and the ref is pure corruption when you compare them to what's happened previously. They should both be stood down permanently.
How the game has allowed this TMO position to virtually ref the game with very inconsistent and numerous interventions for things of a very minor nature that should be just left unseen if the ref deems it but manages to miss the real dangerous and game changing decisions. Ruining the game and the sport with the constant meddling.
Making the game safe for all is one thing but the sheer constant interruptions to the flow of a match by some trivial nonsense is a completely different thing. World Rugby is clueless in its management of the game.

I think the new system of issuing a yellow and the game continuing whilst the issue is reviewed is a good addition to the rules.

I agree, why didnt it happen in the SA v Scotland game?

Anyone got fingernails left after that :woot:

Great display of courage and determination in standing up to a massive side. With some of the performances that have been produced recently everyone could of quite easily have expected them to fold but they stood their ground and fair play to them.
In effect we played them at their own game and managed to slow their ruck speed down to such an extent that they were predictable and manageable, even the broken field play where they excel was an even contest.
Thought Farrell who usually gets slaughtered showed his worth and Ben Earl played the game of his life.
Semi final is going to be massive for us but we now go in their with more than a punches chance.
This performance will be eye opening to both France and the South Africa who before this would of imagined an easy run out, not now.
All to play for.
-
Watching the 1st half of France v Springboks we'll get slaughtered in the semi
-
If SA can play like this in the semi this 2nd half just confirmed it

On last night's showing I can't see anything but a heavy defeat for England on Saturday but it's rare that a team can maintain the level SA showed yesterday they were awesome. France were no slouches either but must admit to having a little snigger to myself when the final whistle went.

It's stitched on for South Africa v All Blacks in the final.
One of them will win it for the 4th time.
