Thought I would ask on here if anyone had any experience/advice on the subject. We may be looking to buy one for my partners Dad and not knowing the first thing about them, I wondered if anyone on here has ventured into this field and has any thoughts for consideration - thanks in advance.

We bought three for my Dad. First one was inexpensive small and slow - didn't last long as he was disappointed with it, also it tipped over backwards going up a small ramp! Sold it on.
Second one was more expensive but still too slow for him and was traded in for the third which was top of the range at that time. Much faster, (though Dad would have liked even faster), and road legal - you need a Road Fund Licence for these, but they're free.
Recommendation? You certainly get what you pay for, don't skimp, but don't pay for something you don't need.
Don't forget to factor in insurance and maintenance - they will need a yearly maintenance program.

Go to Benidorm, they have double seaters there, there’s place’s there that have traffic congestion with them, especially at the end of Levante beach as you go up into the old town

Hi. I bought 2 for my Mum. The first was a smaller foldable one that was great for using when we went out in the car and eventually to Rovers matches. Easy to get in the car boot. It had solid wheels so wasn’t the most comfortable of rides. She also put the fear of God into me when she tackled small kerbs as I was frightened she would tip it up. The second was a bigger one but couldn’t fit it in the car so she really just used that from her home.
I can’t remember the make offhand but could let you know if you want me to look it up. Oh and neither of those could be used on the road so no need of insurance etc.

Only for those intended for use on the road. The rules regarding Road Fun Licence may have changed now that there is no requirement to display a tax disk. Sadly. Worth checking with someone like Eden Mobility if it’s intended to be used on roads.
Eden Mobility was where we bought Dad’s last scooter from, they were very good and they collect and return the scooter for it’s annual service.
