Some idiots saying it was manslaughter or assault. Absolutely no intention to cause injury by the other player.

Took my daughter a few times to see the Steelers. Ice hockey is brilliant for the kids and would have been no doubt half full of them

Absolutely shocking whats happened RIP

Had to have a frank talk with my eldest son just now about that. Absolute shit for souls filing his feed with insistence that it was manslaughter.

I could throttle the f**kers who infest innocent minds with this stuff.

RIP to the poor lad. Condolences to his family. And thoughts to the player on the other side who has to come to terms with this.

My nephew is a big Steelers fan. Season ticket holder. He says people in the crowd were being sick, fainting. Gruesome.

Just terrible.  Imagine the feelings of the guy on the other end. He won't get over that very quickly...

A terrible thing to happen.

Really is a freak accident. The Steelers player who catches him is knocked off his feet by a hit, I hope he's getting support especially with some of the bile on social media being sent his way.

The video feed was horrific enough, can't imagine going for a night out at the hockey and seeing that.

Iv just seen the video while scrolling Twitter, I was trying to avoid it.

I don’t watch it and think it looks accidental. No expect on ice hockey just purely my initial thought when I see it.

Btw I’m not saying it was deliberate. It looks a bit inconclusive either way though to me.

I had to unleash on an utter no-mark wannabe journalist trying to be a shock jock on twitter over "some random bloke dies so all the games get cancelled"

There are some right t**ts out there.

Went to Nottingham Motorpoint Arena last night for a concert. The makeshift memorial outside is very moving, loads of people paying their respects
